Abstract

A wearable communication device that is selectively configured to assist in the implementation of insurance claims processing. The device is capable of voice-activated or touch-activated insurance claim processing instructions and assisting the user in implementing insurance processing function such as damage appraisals and the like.

Claims

1. A communications device configured to be worn by a user;

comprising;

a processor programmed to implement an insurance claim protocol;

a microphone for detecting the user'"'"'s voice instructions to the processor for implementation by the communications device or transmission to a remote server;

a digital camera for capturing visual information; and

a wireless communication link for sending and receiving data, including instructions and descriptions to said remote server, wherein said insurance claim protocol includes identifying claims and locations associated with said claims and sequential instructions for collecting information to permit processing of one or more insurance claims.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein the communication device is further configured to have the appearance of eyeglasses and further comprising:

at least one display screen that displays a dynamic user interface disposed within the user'"'"'s field of vision.

3. The device of claim 1 wherein the communication device is further configured to have the appearance of a wrist watch and further comprising:

at least one display screen that displays a dynamic user interface.

4. The device of claim 3 wherein the display screen is a touch screen configured to receive tactile commands from the user.

5. The device of claim 1 wherein the digital camera is configured to capture at least bar code data.

6. The device of claim 1 wherein the insurance claim protocol operates to collect data related to an automobile insurance policy.

7. The device of claim 1 wherein the insurance claim protocol operates to collect data related to a watercraft insurance policy.

8. The device of claim 1 wherein the insurance claim protocol operates to collect data related to a real property insurance policy.
