Abstract

One embodiment provides a method, including: outputting, to a display device, first content; receiving, using a processor, an instruction to output second content to the display device; positioning one or more of the first content and the second content within the display device according to positioning data based on the first content; and displaying both of the first content and the second content on the display device. Other embodiments are described and claimed herein.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

outputting, to a display device, first content;

receiving, using a processor, an instruction to output second content to the display device;

positioning one or more of the first content and the second content within the display device according to positioning data based on the first content; and

displaying both of the first content and the second content on the display device.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising accessing data identifying a relation between applications;

wherein the positioning comprises determining that the first content and the second content are associated with applications having a relation.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the applications having a relation are predetermined.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the applications having a relation are dynamically determined.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising accessing eye tracking data;

wherein the positioning comprises determining that the first content and the second content are related based on the eye tracking data.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising accessing application usage data;

wherein the positioning comprises determining that the first content and the second content are related based on the application usage data.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the positioning comprises positioning the second content in a non-overlapping area of the display device with respect to a display area including a portion of the first content.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the portion of the first content comprises a predetermined area.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the portion of the first content comprises a dynamically determined area.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising accessing eye tracking data;

wherein the dynamically determined area is determined based on the eye tracking data.

11. An apparatus, comprising:

a display device;

an input device;

a processor; and

a memory that stores instructions executable by the processor to;

output, to the display device, first content;

receive an instruction to output second content to the display device;

position one or more of the first content and the second content within the display device according to positioning data based on the first content; and

display both of the first content and the second content on the display device.

12. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to access data identifying a relation between applications;

wherein to position comprises determining that the first content and the second content are associated with applications having a relation.

13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the applications having a relation are predetermined.

14. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the applications having a relation are dynamically determined.

15. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to access eye tracking data;

wherein to position comprises determining that the first content and the second content are related based on the eye tracking data.

16. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to access application usage data;

wherein to position comprises determining that the first content and the second content are related based on the application usage data.

17. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein to position comprises positioning the second content in a non-overlapping area of the display device with respect to a display area including a portion of the first content.

18. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the portion of the first content comprises a predetermined area.

19. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the portion of the first content comprises a dynamically determined area.

20. A product, comprising:

a computer readable storage device having code embodied therewith, the code being executable by a processor and comprising;

code that outputs, to a display device, first content;

code that receives, using a processor, an instruction to output second content to the display device;

code that positions one or more of the first content and the second content within the display device according to positioning data based on the first content; and

code that displays both of the first content and the second content on the display device.
