BIOMETRICALLY SECURED USER INPUT FOR FORMS
First Claim
1. A method for collecting biometrically secured form data from a user of a user input device having a distal end and a proximate end, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a camera in the distal end of the user input device, biometric data from the user;
authenticating the user based at least in part on the biometric data received from the user;
presenting the user with a visual medium by projecting the visual medium onto a surface from a projector in a cap removably disposed on the proximate end of the user input device, wherein the visual medium comprises a form having a plurality of fields for receiving information necessary to conduct a transaction;
receiving an indication that the user input device has contacted a certain region of the form;
determining the form the user has selected from the indication;
receiving, from the camera in the distal end of the user input device, handwriting data from the user, wherein at least a portion of the handwriting data represents information corresponding to the plurality of fields for information necessary to conduct the transaction;
converting the handwriting data into electronic text;
displaying the electronic text to the user;
receiving corrections to the electronic text from the user; and
transmitting, by the user input device, to a computer system, at least a portion of the information corresponding to the plurality of fields for information necessary to conduct the transaction.
