Abstract
The disclosed method and device are directed to a communication device that receives, by a gesture capture region and/or a touch sensitive display, a gesture while a first touch sensitive display is displaying a first displayed image and a second touch sensitive display is displaying a second displayed image and, in response, ceasing to display the first displayed image on the first touch sensitive display and commencing to display the first displayed image on the second touch sensitive display and ceasing to display a second displayed image on the second touch sensitive display and commencing to display the second displayed image on the first touch sensitive display.

21. A method, comprising:

receiving a first pinch gesture, wherein receiving the first pinch gesture includes; receiving, by a first gesture capture region associated with a first display, a first gesture while the first touch sensitive display of a communication device is displaying a first displayed image; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the first gesture, by a second gesture capture region associated with a second display, a second gesture while the second touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a second displayed image, wherein the first and second gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the first gesture and second gesture are in opposing directions; in response to receiving the first pinch gesture in the first and second gesture capture regions, ceasing, by a microprocessor, to display the first displayed image on the first touch sensitive display; in response to receiving the first pinch gesture, commencing to display the first displayed image on the second touch sensitive display; in response to receiving the first pinch gesture, ceasing to display the second displayed image on the second touch sensitive display; in response to receiving the first pinch gesture, commencing to display the second displayed image on the first touch sensitive display, wherein the first displayed image is at least one of a desktop and window of an application; receiving a second pinch gesture, when a third displayed image is displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays, wherein receiving the second pinch gesture includes; receiving, by the first display, a third gesture while the first touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a first portion of the third displayed image; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the third gesture, by the second touch sensitive display, a fourth gesture while the second touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a second portion of the third displayed image, wherein the third and fourth gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the third gesture and fourth gesture are in opposing directions; in response to receiving the second pinch gesture in the first and second touch sensitive displays, zooming in on the third displayed image displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28)

29. A method, comprising:

displaying, by a first touch sensitive display, a window and, by a second touch sensitive display, a second desktop; receiving a first pinch gesture, wherein receiving the first pinch gesture comprises; receiving, by a first gesture capture region associated with a first display, a first gesture; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the first gesture, by a second gesture capture region associated with a second display, a second gesture, wherein the first and second gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the first gesture and second gesture are in opposing directions, and wherein the first and second gesture capture regions are physically separate from the first and second touch sensitive displays; and in response to receiving the first pinch gesture, moving, by a microprocessor, the window from the first touch sensitive display to a second touch sensitive display, and wherein the first touch sensitive display displays a first desktop and the second touch sensitive display displays the window; receiving a second pinch gesture, when a third displayed image is displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays, wherein receiving the second pinch gesture includes; receiving, by the first display, a third gesture while the first touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a first portion of the third displayed image; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the third gesture, by the second touch sensitive display, a fourth gesture while the second touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a second portion of the third displayed image, wherein the third and fourth gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the third gesture and fourth gesture are in opposing directions; in response to receiving the second pinch gesture in the first and second touch sensitive displays, zooming in on the third displayed image displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays. - View Dependent Claims (30, 31, 32, 33)

34. A dual display communication device operable to receive a first pinch gesture, comprising:

a first gesture capture region to receive a first gesture, wherein the first gesture is a first portion of the first pinch gesture; a second gesture capture region to receive a second gesture, wherein the second gesture is a second portion of the first pinch gesture; a first touch sensitive display to display displayed images, wherein the displayed images are at least one of a desktop and window of an application, wherein the first touch sensitive display is physically separate from the first gesture capture region; a second touch sensitive display to display displayed images, wherein the second touch sensitive display is physically separate from the second gesture capture region; and
middleware operable to perform at least one of the following operations;receiving the first pinch gesture in the first and second gesture capture regions, wherein the first pinch gesture comprises; receiving, by the first gesture capture region, the first gesture while the first touch sensitive display of a communication device is displaying a first displayed image and the second touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a second displayed image; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the first gesture, by the second gesture capture region, a second gesture, wherein the first and second gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the first gesture and second gesture are in opposing directions, and wherein the first pinch gesture is interpreted as for the system; in response to receiving the first pinch gesture; ceasing to display the first displayed image on the first touch sensitive display; commencing to display the first displayed image on the second touch sensitive display; ceasing to display the second displayed image on the second touch sensitive display; and commencing to display the second displayed image on the first touch sensitive display, wherein the first displayed image is at least one of a desktop and window of an application; receiving a second pinch gesture, when a third displayed image is displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays, wherein receiving the second pinch gesture includes; receiving, by the first display, a third gesture while the first touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a first portion of the third displayed image; receiving, substantially simultaneously with receiving the third gesture, by the second touch sensitive display, a fourth gesture while the second touch sensitive display of the communication device is displaying a second portion of the third displayed image, wherein the third and fourth gestures are made directionally toward each other, wherein the third gesture and fourth gesture are in opposing directions; in response to receiving the second pinch gesture in the first and second touch sensitive displays, zooming in on the third displayed image displayed across both the first and second touch sensitive displays. - View Dependent Claims (35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40)
