Abstract

Systems and methods include a database of a financial institution that maintains a respective status of a plurality of driverless mobile automated teller machines (ATMs), the status of each of the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs indicating the location of the respective driverless mobile ATM and the amount of cash available for withdrawal from the driverless mobile ATM, a communication interface that receives a request for a driverless mobile ATM from a user device via a network, the request including user device location data, a location processor that compares the user device location data to location data associated with the plurality of mobile ATMs, and determines a first mobile ATM from the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs that is closest to the user device based on the user device location data, wherein the communication interface transmits a first alert that includes the request to the first driverless mobile ATM via a network, receives a response from the driverless mobile ATM via the network, transmits a second alert that includes the location of the first driverless mobile ATM and an estimated time that the driverless first mobile ATM will arrive at the location associated with the user device location data to the user device, and receives confirmation that the transaction occurred from the first driverless mobile ATM, and wherein the first driverless mobile ATM either provides cash to a user associated with the user device or receives cash from the user associated with the user device, and a transaction processor of the backend system of the financial institution that process the transaction based on the received confirmation.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

a database of a financial institution that maintains a respective status of a plurality of driverless mobile automated teller machines (ATMs), the status of each of the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs indicating the location of the respective driverless mobile ATM and the amount of cash available for withdrawal from the driverless mobile ATM;

a communication interface of a backend system of the financial institution that receives a request for a driverless mobile ATM from a user device via a network, the request including user device location data;

a location processor associated with the backend system of the financial institution that compares the user device location data to location data associated with the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs, and determines a first driverless mobile ATM from the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs that is closest to the user device based on the user device location data, wherein the communication interface transmits a first alert that includes the request to the first driverless mobile ATM via a network, receives a response from the driverless mobile ATM via the network, transmits a second alert that includes the location of the first driverless mobile ATM and an estimated time that the first driverless mobile ATM will arrive at the location associated with the user device location data to the user device, and receives confirmation that the transaction occurred from the first driverless mobile ATM, and wherein the first driverless mobile ATM either provides cash to a user associated with the user device or receives cash from the user associated with the user device; and

a transaction processor of the backend system of the financial institution that process the transaction based on the received confirmation.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the mobile device executes a mobile banking application of the financial institution that transmits the request.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the mobile banking application receives the second alert from the communication interface of the financial institution.

4. The system of claim 3, wherein the mobile banking application transmits the confirmation that the transaction occurred from the first driverless mobile ATM.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the first driverless mobile ATM is integrated into a motor vehicle.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the motor vehicle is a driverless motor vehicle.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the user device location data includes global positioning system (GPS) information.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein the GPS information is derived from location services executing on the mobile device.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs is associated with a respective mobile application that provides the status of the respective driverless mobile ATM.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the location of the respective mobile ATM application includes global positioning system (GPS) information that indicates a location of the driverless mobile ATM and respective mobile ATM application transmits the response from the driverless mobile ATM, the response including the GPS information that indicates the location of the driverless mobile ATM.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs are integrated into a respective motor vehicle.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein each respective motor vehicle is a driverless motor vehicle.

13. The system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of mobile ATMs establishes a respective secure connection to the backend system of financial institution.

14. The system of claim 1, wherein, to compare the user device location data to location data associated with the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs, the location processor determines whether the location of the user device is within a predetermined range of each of the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs.

15. The system of claim 14, wherein the location processor determines that the first driverless mobile ATM is closest from among the plurality of driverless mobile ATMs that are within the predetermined range of driverless mobile ATMs.

16. A motor vehicle comprising:

a mobile automated teller machine (ATM) that includes a communication interface that establishes a secure connection with a backend system of a financial institution and either provides cash to a user associated with the user device or receives cash from the user associated with the user device, wherein the backend system of the financial institution includes;

a database of that maintains a status of the driverless mobile ATM, the status of the driverless mobile ATM indicating the location of the driverless mobile ATM and the amount of cash available for withdrawal from the driverless mobile ATM;

a communication interface that receives a request for a driverless mobile ATM from a user device via a network, the request including user device location data;

a location processor that compares the user device location data to location data associated with the driverless mobile ATM, and determines whether the driverless mobile ATM, among a plurality of driverless mobile ATMs is closest to the user device based on the user device location data, wherein the communication interface transmits a first alert that includes the request to the driverless mobile ATM via a network, receives a response from the driverless mobile ATM via the network, transmits a second alert that includes the location of the driverless mobile ATM and an estimated time that the driverless mobile ATM will arrive at the location associated with the user device location data to the user device, and receives confirmation that the transaction occurred from the first driverless mobile ATM; and

a transaction processor of the backend system of the financial institution that process the transaction based on the received confirmation.
