Abstract

A method for showing a sample screenshot of a page that closely resembles what users would see on a mobile device. This sample can be live configured, meaning that the screenshot can update as it'"'"'s configured.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

determining, by a computer, a static layer of a user interface of an application;

receiving, by the computer, an image representative of the static layer;

determining, by the computer, one or more dynamic layers of the user interface;

receiving, by the computer, one or more images representative of the one or more dynamic layers generated in response to one or more modifications to the one or more dynamic layers; and

rendering, by the computer, an image representative of the user interface based on a combination of the image representative of the static layer and the one or more images representative of the one or more dynamic layers.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein determining, by the computer, the static layer of the user interface of the application comprises determining a portion of the user interface that does not change in response to user configuration.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein receiving, by the computer, the image representative of the static layer comprises rendering the image and storing the image in a cache.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein determining, by the computer, the one or more dynamic layers of the user interface comprises determining a portion of the user interface that changes in response to user configuration.

5. The method of claim 1 further comprising generating the one or more images representative of the one or more dynamic layers.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein rendering, by the computer, the image representative of the user interface comprise rendering the image in real time in response to user configuration changes.

7. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a computer program product which when executed by a processor of the computer cause the processor to implement the method of claim 1.

8. A system comprising:

a hardware processor; and

a memory storing a set of instructions which when executed by the processor cause the processor to;

determine a static layer of a user interface of an application;

receive an image representative of the static layer;

determine one or more dynamic layers of the user interface;

receive one or more images representative of the one or more dynamic layers generated in response to one or more modifications to the one or more dynamic layers; and

render an image representative of the user interface based on a combination of the image representative of the static layer and the one or more images representative of the one or more dynamic layers.
