1. An electronic insulin delivery apparatus capable of Bluetooth data transmission, comprising:

  • an analyte sensor positionable in contact with fluid in a user'"'"'s body and configured to detect an analyte level of the user;

    a data transmitter communicatively coupled to the analyte sensor and configured to transmit information corresponding to a detected analyte level of the user over a communication link;

    a data receiver configured to receive, over the communication link, the information corresponding to the detected analyte level of the user;

    an insulin infusion pump communicatively coupled with the data receiver and configured to deliver insulin to the body of the user; and

    one or more processors communicatively coupled with the data receiver and the insulin infusion pump, the one or more processors programmed to control the delivery of insulin from the insulin infusion pump based on the information corresponding to the detected analyte level of the user,wherein the communication link is a Bluetooth communication link and the data transmitter and data receiver are configured to communicate the information corresponding to the detected analyte level over the Bluetooth communication link.
