The disclosed embodiments include a method, apparatus, and computer program product for identifying locations associated with a well site. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes a system that includes at least one processor, a global positioning system unit configured to receive satellite signals, and at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations that include determining location data based on the satellite signals and indicating a location of interest associated with a well site on a map based on the location data. Certain of the disclosed embodiments may include a manual and/or an automatic tracking option for determining the location of interest associated with the well site.
