1. A method to change mode of operation of a first device associated with a first user, the method comprising:
- receiving, by the first device associated with the first user, information indicating a presence of a second user, wherein the information indicating the presence of the second user is based at least on an audible determination of the presence of the second user, a visual determination of the presence of the second user, or a determination of a presence of a second device associated with the second user;
determining, by the first device associated with the first user, based at least on the received information, whether the second user is present within a predetermined range of distance from the first device;
identifying, based at least on the determination, by the first device associated with the first user, a triggering event that requires a change in mode of operation of the first device from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation; and
changing, by the first device associated with the first user, mode of operation of the first device from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation based at least on the identified triggering event.

13. A device associated with a first user, comprising:
-
at least one processor configured to; receive information indicating a presence of a second user, wherein the information indicating the presence of the second user is based at least on an audible determination of the presence of the second user, a visual determination of the presence of the second user, or a determination of a presence of another device associated with the second user; determine, based at least on the received information, whether the second user is present within a predetermined range of distance from the device; identify, based at least on the determination, a triggering event that requires a change in mode of operation of the device from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation; and change mode of operation of the first device from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation based at least on the identified triggering event, wherein the device further comprises one or more sensors configured to capture auditory information or visual information and the audible determination or the visual determination is based at least on the captured auditory information or visual information. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18)

19. A non-transitory computer-readable medium hosted on a first device associated with a first user to store one or more executable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
-
receiving, by the first device, information indicating a presence of a second user, wherein the information indicating the presence of the second user is based at least on an audible determination of the presence of the second user, a visual determination of the presence of the second user, or a determination of a presence of a second device associated with the second user; determining, by the first device, based at least on the received information, whether the second user is present within a predetermined range of distance from the first device; identifying, based at least on the determination, by the first device, a triggering event that requires a change in mode of operation of the first device from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation, wherein the triggering event includes a passage of predetermined period of time and the identifying includes identifying whether the predetermined period of time has elapsed subsequent to a determination that the second user is present within the predetermined range of distance from the first device; and in response to identifying that the predetermined period of time has elapsed, changing, by the first device, mode of operation of the first device from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation. - View Dependent Claims (20)
