Wireless Electrical Interface System
First Claim
1. A wireless electrical interface system comprising:
- a. An interior interface module (IIM), referred to as master control module herein, for establishing an interface with a vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems required for the operation of said aftermarket electrical device, to enable information and commands to be transferred between said vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems and said aftermarket electrical device, such as breathe alcohol ignition interlock device (BAIID) or a GPS tracking device with an immobilizer circuit; and
b. An exterior interface module (EIM), referred to as slave control module herein, for establishing an interface with said vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems required for the operation of an aftermarket electrical device, to enable information and commands to be wirelessly transferred between said slave control module and said master control module;
Whereby, establishing a wireless interface between the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems and an aftermarket electrical device by using a wirelessly configured master/slave piconet between said master control module electrically connected to the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems which are only accessible within the passenger compartment, and said slave control module electrically connected to the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems which are only accessible within the engine/trunk compartment. By which, the electrical connections from said master control module to said vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems are established at the vehicle'"'"'s passenger compartment fuse box and the vehicle'"'"'s OBDII-port, and the electrical connections from said slave control module to said vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems are established at the vehicle'"'"'s engine/trunk compartment fuse box.

Abstract
The invention comprises a wireless electrical interface system and method for establishing a non-intrusive interface with the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems required for the operation of an aftermarket electrical device, such as an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) or a GPS tracking device with integrated immobilizer technology. Said non-intrusive interface is established through utilizing engineered connectors for electrical connections to the vehicle'"'"'s electrical system, and by incorporating wireless interface technology to establish a wireless electrical interface between the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems accessible only within the passenger compartment and the vehicle'"'"'s electrical subsystems accessible only within the engine/trunk compartment, eliminating the conventional hardwired electrical interface between aftermarket electrical devices and the vehicle'"'"'s electrical system.
