Abstract

An electronic device and method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a communication module configured to communicate with a communication server; an input module configured to receive a user command; and a processor configured to receive a device changing command, via the input module, during a call between the electronic device and a first external electronic device, and transmit, to the communication server, via the communication module, a message for changing the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device to a call between a second external electronic device and the first external electronic device. The second external electronic device uses a same subscription information as the electronic device, and the message includes call state information of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device.

Claims

1. An electronic device, comprising:

a communication module configured to communicate with a communication server;

an input module configured to receive a user command; and

a processor configured to

receive a device changing command, via the input module, during a call between the electronic device and a first external electronic device, and

transmit, to the communication server, via the communication module, a message for changing the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device to a call between a second external electronic device and the first external electronic device,

wherein the second external electronic device uses a same subscription information as the electronic device, and

wherein the message includes call state information of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device.

2. The electronic device of claim 1, further comprising a display,

wherein the processor is further configured to

receive, from the communication server, via the communication module, a notification message including registration information of the second external electronic device, and

display, on the display, a user interface for receiving the device changing command using a name of the second external electronic device included in the registration information.

3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the call state information comprises at least one of:

a talk time of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device;

information of a called party; and

an initial call connection direction.

4. The electronic device of claim 1, further comprising a display,

wherein the processor is further configured to

receive, from the communication server, via the communication module, a notification message including registration information of the second external electronic device, and

display, on the display, a user interface for selecting the second external electronic device using a name of the second external electronic device included in the registration information.

The electronic device of claim 4, wherein the processor is further configured to transmit, to the communication server, via the communication module, a message for setting the second external electronic device to receive the call, if a user command for selecting the second external electronic device is input using the displayed user interface.

6. A method of an electronic device, the method comprising:

establishing a call between the electronic device and a first external electronic device through a communication network;

receiving, by the electronic device, a device changing command from a user during the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device; and

transmitting, to the communication server, a message for changing the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device to a call between a second external electronic device and the first external electronic device,

wherein the second external electronic device uses a same subscription information as the electronic device, and

wherein the message comprising call state information of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device.

7. The method of claim 6, further comprising:

receiving, from the communication server, a notification message including registration information of the second external electronic device; and

displaying, on a display, a user interface for receiving the device changing command using a name of the second external electronic device included in the registration information.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein the call state information includes at least one of a talk time of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device, information of a called party, and an initial call connection direction.

9. The method of claim 6, further comprising:

receiving, from the communication server, a notification message including registration information of the second external electronic device; and

displaying, on a display, a user interface for selecting the second external electronic device using a name of the second external electronic device included in the registration information.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

receiving a user command for selecting the second external electronic device; and

transmitting, to the communication server, a message for setting the second external electronic device to receiving the call.

11. An electronic device, comprising:

a display;

a communication module configured to receive, from a communication server, a message including call state information of a call between a first external electronic device and a second external electronic device, wherein the second external electronic device uses a same subscription information as the electronic device; and

a processor configured to display, on the display, a user interface indicating a state of a call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device using the call state information, if the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device is changed to the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device.

12. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to

compare subscription information included in a call invitation message with subscription information of the electronic device, if the call invitation message is received from the communication server based on a request of the first external electronic device, and

establish the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device, if the subscription information included in the call invitation message is the same as the subscription information of the electronic device.

The electronic device of claim 12, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on the display, a user interface for receiving a call accepting command, if the subscription information included in the call invitation message is different from the subscription information of the electronic device.

14. The electronic device of claim 12, wherein the processor is further configured to

compare subscription information or device identification information included in a received message with the subscription information or device identification information included in the call invitation message, if the received message indicates that a call transfer of the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device is scheduled, and

establish the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device, if the subscription information or the device identification information included in the received message is the same as the subscription information or the device identification information included in the call invitation message.

15. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to

compare the subscription information of the second external electronic device included in a call transfer message with the subscription information of the electronic device, if the call transfer message is received from the communication server based on a request of the second external electronic device, and

transmit a call invitation message to the first external electronic device, if the subscription information of the second external electronic device included in the call transfer message is the same as the subscription information of the electronic device.

16. A method of an electronic device, the method comprising:

receiving, from a communication server, a message including call state information of a call between a first external electronic device and a second external electronic device, wherein the second external electronic device uses a same subscription information as the electronic device;

changing the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device to a call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device; and

displaying, on a display, a user interface indicating a state of the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device using the call state information.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein changing the call comprises:

receiving a call invitation message from the communication server based on a request of the first external electronic device;

comparing subscription information included in the call invitation message with subscription information of the electronic device; and

changing the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device to the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device, if the subscription information included in the call invitation message is the same as the subscription information of the electronic device.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising displaying a user interface for receiving a call accepting command, if the subscription information included in the call invitation message is different from the subscription information of the electronic device.

19. The method of claim 16, wherein changing the call comprises:

receiving, from the communication server, a message indicating that a call transfer of the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device is scheduled;

receiving a call invitation message from the communication server based on a request of the first external electronic device;

comparing subscription information or device identification information included in the message indicating that the call transfer is scheduled with subscription information or device identification information included in the call invitation message; and

changing the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device to the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device, if the subscription information or the device identification information included in the message indicating that the call transfer is the same as the subscription information or the device identification information included in the call invitation message

20. The method of claim 16, wherein changing the call comprises:

receiving a call transfer message from the communication server based on a request of the second external electronic device;

comparing subscription information of the second external electronic device included in the call transfer message with subscription information of the electronic device;

transmitting a call request message to the first external electronic device, if the subscription information of the second external electronic device included in the call transfer message is the same as the subscription information of the electronic device; and

changing the call between the first external electronic device and the second external electronic device to the call between the electronic device and the first external electronic device.
