Abstract

Methods and an apparatus for treatment of target biological structure by combination of magnet treatment and electromagnetic treatment. The method and apparatus may be used for aesthetic applications, e.g. cellulite treatment, body shaping, skin rejuvenation or enhancing skin appearance.

Claims

1. A method of treatment a biological structure of a patient, including:

a. positioning at least one applicator proximate to the patient;

b. transmitting a magnetic stimulation from the at least one applicator to the target biological structure;

c. transmitting electromagnetic waves from the at least one applicator to the target biological structure;

d. heating the target biological structure via electromagnetic waves;

e. remodeling the target biological structure.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein a magnetic flux density of the magnetic stimulation is at least 0.1 T.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the magnetic flux density of the magnetic stimulation is at least 0.5 T.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the magnetic flux density of the magnetic stimulation is at least 1 T.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the magnetic stimulation is time-varying.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the repetition rate of the magnetic stimulation is at least 1 Hz.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein the repetition rate of the magnetic stimulation is at least 50 Hz.

8. The method of claim 5, wherein the repetition rate of the magnetic stimulation is at least 100 Hz.

9. The method of claim 5, wherein the repetition rate of the magnetic stimulation is at least 200 Hz.

10. The method of claim 5, wherein the magnetic stimulation causes at least partial muscle contraction, myorelaxation effect or analgesic effect.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein a frequency of the electromagnetic waves is around 13.56 or 40.68 or 27.12 MHz or 2.45 GHz.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the target biological structure is heated by the electromagnetic waves.

13. The method of claim 11, wherein the electromagnetic treatment is applied continuously and/or in pulse mode.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the electromagnetic treatment in pulse mode includes periods with no stimulation adjustable by an operator.

15. The method of claim 1, wherein the biological structure is at least one neuron, neuromuscular plate, muscle fiber, adipocyte, collagen, elastin, pigment or skin.

16. The method of claim 1, wherein the treatment is used for cellulite treatment.

17. The method of claim 1, wherein the magnet treatment is applied before, simultaneously or after radiofrequency treatment.

18. The method of claim 1, wherein the applicator is self-operated.

19. The method of claim 1, wherein a bolus is used during the treatment.

20. The method of claim 1, wherein the electromagnetic waves and magnetic stimulation are provided by the at least one applicator.

23. The method of claim 1, wherein an air gap is between the at least one applicator and the patient.

24. The method of claim 1, wherein the applicator does not touch the patient.

25. The method of claim 1, wherein the magnet treatment and electromagnetic treatment alternate.

26. The method of claim 1, wherein the magnet treatment and/or electromagnetic treatment is modulated.

27. The method of claim 1, wherein the treatment is dynamic.

28. The method of claim 1, wherein a treatment temperature is in the range of 30 to 60°

C.

29. The method of claim 28, wherein a treatment temperature is in the range of 37 to 45°

C.

30. The method of claim 1, wherein the treatment temperature is adjustable by the operator.

21. The method of claim 21, wherein the at least one coil is used as an electrode.

22. The method of claim 21, wherein the at least one coil is flat.
