Abstract

Display control is performed for generation of a timeline screen in such a way that requester-side event information corresponding to request information is to be displayed at one of display areas separated from each other by a timeline axis on the timeline screen and that interpreter-side event information corresponding to radiological interpretation result information is to be displayed at the other of the display areas on the timeline screen, wherein the timeline axis is generated on the basis of time-and-date information of the request information and of the radiological interpretation result information determined on the basis of patient information.

Claims

1. An information processing system for management of request information sent together with a medical image from a requesting facility and management of radiological interpretation result information, which is information on results of radiological interpretation conducted at a radiological interpretation facility by using the medical image sent together with the request information from the requesting facility, comprising:

a storage unit configured to store the request information and the radiological interpretation result information in association with patient information;

a receiving unit configured to receive a request for timeline screen display, with the patient information specified;

a determination unit configured to determine the request information and the radiological interpretation result information associated with the patient information specified for the request received by the receiving unit; and

a display control unit configured to perform control for generation of a timeline screen in such a way that requester-side event information corresponding to the request information is to be displayed at one of display areas separated from each other by a timeline axis on the timeline screen and that interpreter-side event information corresponding to the radiological interpretation result information is to be displayed at the other of the display areas on the timeline screen, the timeline axis being generated on the basis of time-and-date information of the request information and of the radiological interpretation result information determined by the determination unit.

2. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein the storage unit and the determination unit of the information processing system are provided on a server apparatus, and the receiving unit and the display control unit of the information processing system are provided on an information processing apparatus;

wherein the server apparatus includes a transmitting unit configured to transmit, to the information processing apparatus, the request information and the radiological interpretation result information determined on the basis of the patient information transmitted from the information processing apparatus; and

wherein the display control unit provided on the information processing apparatus generates the timeline screen on the basis of the request information and the radiological interpretation result information transmitted from the transmitting unit.

3. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein the storage unit stores message information, which is information on messages exchanged between the requesting facility and the radiological interpretation facility, in addition to the request information and the radiological interpretation result information in association with the patient information;

wherein the determination unit determines the message information in addition to the request information and the radiological interpretation result information; and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that event information corresponding to the message issued from the requesting facility is to be displayed at the one display area where the requester-side event information is to be displayed and that event information corresponding to the message issued from the radiological interpretation facility is to be displayed at the other display area where the interpreter-side event information is to be displayed.

4. The information processing system according to claim 2,

wherein the storage unit stores message information, which is information on messages exchanged between the requesting facility and the radiological interpretation facility, in addition to the request information and the radiological interpretation result information in association with the patient information;

wherein the determination unit determines the message information in addition to the request information and the radiological interpretation result information; and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that event information corresponding to the message issued from the requesting facility is to be displayed at the one display area where the requester-side event information is to be displayed and that event information corresponding to the message issued from the radiological interpretation facility is to be displayed at the other display area where the interpreter-side event information is to be displayed.

5. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein the timeline axis includes first and second timeline axes, the first timeline axis corresponding to a time period for which information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit, the second timeline axis connecting a month-and-year label indicative of a start month and year of a time period for which no information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit and a month-and-year label indicative of a month and year in which information regarding radiological interpretation occurred in the storage unit first time after the start month and year;

and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the first and second timeline axes are visually recognizable.

6. The information processing system according to claim 2,

wherein the timeline axis includes first and second timeline axes, the first timeline axis corresponding to a time period for which information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit, the second timeline axis connecting a month-and-year label indicative of a start month and year of a time period for which no information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit and a month-and-year label indicative of a month and year in which information regarding radiological interpretation occurred in the storage unit first time after the start month and year;

and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the first and second timeline axes are visually recognizable.

7. The information processing system according to claim 3,

wherein the timeline axis includes first and second timeline axes, the first timeline axis corresponding to a time period for which information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit, the second timeline axis connecting a month-and-year label indicative of a start month and year of a time period for which no information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit and a month-and-year label indicative of a month and year in which information regarding radiological interpretation occurred in the storage unit first time after the start month and year;

and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the first and second timeline axes are visually recognizable.

8. The information processing system according to claim 4,

wherein the timeline axis includes first and second timeline axes, the first timeline axis corresponding to a time period for which information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit, the second timeline axis connecting a month-and-year label indicative of a start month and year of a time period for which no information regarding radiological interpretation is stored in the storage unit and a month-and-year label indicative of a month and year in which information regarding radiological interpretation occurred in the storage unit first time after the start month and year;

and

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the first and second timeline axes are visually recognizable.

9. The information processing system according to claim 5,

wherein the display control unit performs control for display of the first timeline axis in a solid line and display of the second timeline axis in a dashed line.

10. The information processing system according to claim 6,

wherein the display control unit performs control for display of the first timeline axis in a solid line and display of the second timeline axis in a dashed line.

11. The information processing system according to claim 7,

wherein the display control unit performs control for display of the first timeline axis in a solid line and display of the second timeline axis in a dashed line.

12. The information processing system according to claim 8,

wherein the display control unit performs control for display of the first timeline axis in a solid line and display of the second timeline axis in a dashed line.

13. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein, in a case where the receiving unit received the request for timeline screen display with examination information in addition to the patient information specified, the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the request information and the radiological interpretation result information corresponding to the examination information are visually recognizable.

14. The information processing system according to claim 2,

wherein, in a case where the receiving unit received the request for timeline screen display with examination information in addition to the patient information specified, the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the request information and the radiological interpretation result information corresponding to the examination information are visually recognizable.

15. The information processing system according to claim 3,

wherein, in a case where the receiving unit received the request for timeline screen display with examination information in addition to the patient information specified, the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the request information and the radiological interpretation result information corresponding to the examination information are visually recognizable.

16. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein, in a case where the receiving unit received the request for timeline screen display with the patient information specified and, in addition, with report information showing the results of radiological interpretation specified, the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that event information corresponding to the radiological interpretation result information for the request information is visually recognizable.

17. The information processing system according to claim 16,

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that the event information corresponding to the radiological interpretation result information for the request information is to be displayed in a highlighted manner in comparison with other event information.

18. The information processing system according to claim 1,

wherein the display control unit performs control for generation of the timeline screen in such a way that icons that represent the request information and the radiological interpretation result information are to be displayed on the timeline axis and that association of each of the icons with the event information corresponding to the icon is visually recognizable.

An information processing apparatus that is capable of communicating with a server apparatus and is capable of issuing a request for timeline screen display by using request information sent together with a medical image from a requesting facility and by using radiological interpretation result information, which is information on results of radiological interpretation conducted at a radiological interpretation facility by using the medical image sent together with the request information from the requesting facility, the request information and the radiological interpretation result information being managed in association with patient information in a storage unit of the server apparatus, said information processing apparatus comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive the request for timeline screen display, with the patient information specified; and

a display control unit configured to perform control for generating a timeline screen in such a way as to display requester-side event information corresponding to the request information at one of display areas separated from each other by a timeline axis on the timeline screen and as to display interpreter-side event information corresponding to the radiological interpretation result information at the other of the display areas on the timeline screen, the timeline axis being generated on the basis of time-and-date information of the request information and of the radiological interpretation result information determined on the basis of the patient information specified for the request received by the receiving unit.

A server apparatus for management of request information sent together with a medical image from a requesting facility and management of radiological interpretation result information, which is information on results of radiological interpretation conducted at a radiological interpretation facility by using the medical image sent together with the request information from the requesting facility, comprising:

a storage unit configured to store the request information and the radiological interpretation result information in association with patient information;

an acceptance unit configured to accept, by reception via communication, a request for timeline screen display from an information processing apparatus that is capable of communicating with said server apparatus, with the patient information specified;

a determination unit configured to determine the request information and the radiological interpretation result information associated with the patient information specified for the request accepted by the acceptance unit; and

a transmitting unit configured to transmit, to the information processing apparatus, information that makes it possible to generate, at the information processing apparatus, a timeline screen in such a way that requester-side event information corresponding to the request information is to be displayed at one of display areas separated from each other by a timeline axis on the timeline screen and that interpreter-side event information corresponding to the radiological interpretation result information is to be displayed at the other of the display areas on the timeline screen, the timeline axis being generated on the basis of time-and-date information of the request information and of the radiological interpretation result information determined by the determination unit.
