Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE).

A method by which a master device provided by one embodiment of the present invention controls mirroring services between the master device and a slave device comprises the steps of: storing information related to first connection mode mirroring when a termination event of mirroring connected in a first connection mode has occurred; and setting mirroring in a second connection mode by using the stored mirroring-related information.

Claims

1. A method for controlling, by a master device, mirroring services between the master device and a slave device, the method comprising:

storing mirroring-related information related to mirroring of a first connection mode upon occurrence of a termination event of the mirroring of the first connection mode; and

setting mirroring in a second connection mode by using the stored mirroring-related information.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining whether a first context before the occurrence of the termination event and a second context after the occurrence of the termination event are the same as each other, upon the occurrence of the termination event.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein setting mirroring in the second connection mode comprises:

determining whether to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode from the mirroring of the first connection mode; and

requesting the second device to reset mirroring by using the stored mirroring-related information if the mirroring of the first connection mode is determined to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode.

The method of claim 1, wherein the mirroring-related information comprises at least one of session information related to connection setting of mirroring, connection device information related to a mirroring-connected counterpart device, and mirroring service information related to a mirroring-connected service.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein if the first connection mode is a wireless connection mode, the second connection mode is a wired connection mode, and

if the second connection mode is the wireless connection mode, the first connection mode is the wired connection mode.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the termination event corresponds to:

a case where the master device and the slave device are wiredly connected in the wireless connection mode, and

a case where the wired connection between the master device and the slave device is released in the wired connection mode.

13. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

terminating a session of the mirroring of the first connection mode, if the first context before the occurrence of the termination event and the second context after the occurrence of the termination event are not the same as each other.

14. The method of claim 2, wherein the first context and the second context are whether traveling of a vehicle continues before and after the occurrence of the termination event of the mirroring of the first connection mode.

15. The method of claim 3, wherein determining whether to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode depends on whether an operation of a navigation application is terminated or not.

16. The method of claim 15, if the operation of the navigation application is terminated, a session of the mirroring of the first connection mode is terminated.

7. A device for controlling mirroring services between a master device and a slave device, the device comprising:

a storing unit configured to store mirroring-related information related to a mirroring of the first connection mode upon occurrence of a termination event of the mirroring of the first connection mode; and

a controller configured to set mirroring in a second connection mode by using the stored mirroring-related information.

8. The device of claim 7, wherein the controller is further configured to determine whether a first context before the occurrence of the termination event and a second context after the occurrence of the termination event are the same as each other, upon the occurrence of the termination event.

The device of claim 7, wherein the controller is further configured to determine whether to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode from the mirroring of the first connection mode and to request the second device to reset mirroring by using the stored mirroring-related information if the mirroring of the first connection mode is determined to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode.

The device of claim 7, wherein the mirroring-related information comprises at least one of session information related to connection setting of mirroring, connection device information related to a mirroring-connected counterpart device, and mirroring service information related to a mirroring-connected service.

11. The device of claim 7, wherein if the first connection mode is a wireless connection mode, the second connection mode is a wired connection mode, and

if the second connection mode is the wireless connection mode, the first connection mode is the wired connection mode.

12. The device of claim 11, wherein the termination event corresponds to:

a case where the master device and the slave device are wiredly connected in the wireless connection mode, and

a case where the wired connection between the master device and the slave device is released in the wired connection mode.

The device of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to terminate a session of the mirroring of the first connection mode, if the first context before the occurrence of the termination event and the second context after the occurrence of the termination event are not the same as each other.

18. The device of claim 8, wherein the first context and the second context are whether traveling of a vehicle continues before and after the occurrence of the termination event of the mirroring of the first connection mode.

19. The device of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to determine whether to switch to the mirroring of the second connection mode depends on whether an operation of the navigation application is terminated or not.

20. The device of claim 19, if the operation of the navigation application is terminated, a session of the mirroring of the first connection mode is terminated.
