Abstract

The present invention provides a method and system for verifying and tracking identification information. In an embodiment of the invention, a system for delivering security solutions is provided that includes at least one of the following: a radio frequency (RF) identification device, an identification mechanism (e.g., a card, sticker), and an RF reader.

Claims

1. A mobile device, comprising:

a biometric input device configured to receive biometric data;

a short range radio frequency antenna;

memory configured to store biometric information for identifying an individual associated with transaction information, and

a processor coupled with the memory and the biometric input device, the processor configured to;

receive a signal via the short range radio frequency antenna, the signal comprising a request to access the memory and retrieve the transaction information,

receive biometric information from the biometric input device,

compare the received biometric information with the biometric information stored in the memory, and

provide the transaction information in response to the access request when the received biometric information matches the stored biometric information.

2. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the mobile device is one of a cellphone, smartphone, or tablet.

3. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the biometric input device is a fingerprint scanner.

4. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to provide the received biometric information or the stored biometric information with the transaction information.

5. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the transaction information is account information.

6. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the transaction information is credit card information.

7. The mobile device of claim 1, further comprising memory configured to store the transaction information.

8. The mobile device of claim 7, wherein the memory configured to store the biometric information and the memory configured to store the transaction information are the same memory.

9. A cellular telephone, comprising:

a fingerprint scanner configured to receive fingerprint information;

a short range radio frequency antenna;

memory configured to store fingerprint information for identifying an individual associated with transaction information, and

a processor coupled with the memory and the fingerprint scanner, the processor configured to;

receive a signal via the short range radio frequency antenna, the signal comprising a request to access the memory and retrieve the transaction information,

receive fingerprint information from the fingerprint scanner, compare the received fingerprint information with the fingerprint information stored in the memory, and

provide the transaction information in response to the access request when the received fingerprint information matches the stored fingerprint information.

10. The cellular telephone of claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to provide the received fingerprint information or the stored fingerprint information with the transaction information.

11. The cellular telephone of claim 9, wherein the transaction information is account information.

12. The cellular telephone of claim 9, wherein the transaction information is credit card information.

13. The cellular telephone of claim 9, further comprising memory configured to store the transaction information.

14. The cellular telephone of claim 13, wherein the memory configured to store the biometric information and the memory configured to store the transaction information are the same memory.

15. A cellular telephone, comprising:

cellular circuitry;

a fingerprint scanner configured to receive fingerprint information;

a short range radio frequency antenna and a chip, the chip comprising;

a memory, the memory configured to store fingerprint information for identifying an individual associated with transaction information, and

a processor coupled with the memory and the fingerprint scanner, the processor configured to;

receive a signal via the cellular circuitry, the signal comprising a request to access the memory and retrieve the transaction information,

receive fingerprint information from the fingerprint scanner,

compare the received fingerprint information with the fingerprint information stored in the memory, and

provide the transaction information in response to the access request when the received fingerprint information matches the stored fingerprint information.

16. The cellular telephone of claim 15, wherein the processor is further configured to provide the received fingerprint information or the stored fingerprint information with the transaction information.

17. The cellular telephone of claim 15, wherein the transaction information is account information.

18. The cellular telephone of claim 15, wherein the transaction information is credit card information.

19. The cellular telephone of claim 15, further comprising memory configured to store the transaction information.

20. The cellular telephone of claim 19, wherein the memory configured to store the biometric information and the memory configured to store the transaction information are the same memory.
