Abstract

A dictionary device includes a display; a touch panel; and a CPU. The CPU is configured to display a sentence including a plurality of words; detect a plurality of touched positions of a user on the touch panel; specify, as an object to be searched for, a plurality of words included in the displayed sentence and that corresponds to the plurality of detected touched positions; detect a relative positional change of the plurality of detected touched positions after the plurality of words is specified as the object to be searched for; search dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words, for an example sentence or a phrase including the plurality of specified words by a search method corresponding to the relative change of the plurality of detected touched positions; further detect, while detecting the relative positional change, whether the plurality of touched positions is moved closer to each other along with movements of the plurality of touched positions; search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly without a different character therebetween in the same order as in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the plurality of touched positions is moved closer to each other; and search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly or separately in order that is the same as or different from the order in the sentence, in a case where it is not detected that the plurality of touched positions is practically moved closer to each other.

Claims

1. A dictionary device comprising:

a display;

a touch panel; and

a CPU,

wherein the CPU is configured to;

display a sentence including a plurality of words on the display;

detect a plurality of touched positions of a user on the touch panel;

specify, as an object to be searched for, a plurality of words that is included in the displayed sentence and that corresponds to the plurality of detected touched positions;

detect a relative positional change of the plurality of detected touched positions after the plurality of words is specified as the object to be searched for;

search dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words, for an example sentence or a phrase including the plurality of specified words by a search method corresponding to the relative change of the plurality of detected touched positions;

further detect, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether the plurality of touched positions is moved closer to each other along with movements of the plurality of touched positions;

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly without a different character therebetween in the same order as in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the plurality of touched positions is moved closer to each other; and

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly or separately in order that is the same as or different from the order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is not detected that the plurality of touched positions is practically moved closer to each other.

2. The dictionary device according to claim 1,

wherein the CPU is further configured to:

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly without a different character therebetween in the same order with the order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is not detected that the plurality of touched positions is practically moved closer to each other.

3. The dictionary device according to claim 1,

wherein the CPU is further configured to:

detect, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether one touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a first direction and the other touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

search dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of each example sentence or each phrase including a word of each direction word in a manner associated to each direction word, for an example sentence or a phrase that includes one specified word in the plurality of specified words as a word of a direction word and that includes the other specified word in the plurality of words as a word that is not the direction word in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the one touched position is moved in the first direction and the other touched position is moved in the second direction.

4. The dictionary device according to claim 1,

wherein the CPU is further configured to:

detect, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a first direction along with movements of the plurality of specified positions, and detect whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

search, in the searching processing, for an example sentence including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the first direction, and search for a phrase including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the second direction.

5. The dictionary device according to claim 1,

wherein the CPU is configured to:

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly or separately in order different from order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the plurality of touched positions is crossed.

6. The dictionary device according to claim 1,

wherein it is configured in the CPU that:

processing of detecting whether the plurality of touched positions is crossed in the processing of detecting the relative positional change is processing of determining whether a first movement track of a first specified position among the specified positions and a second movement track of a second specified position among the specified positions are crossed.

7. The dictionary device according to claim 1, further comprising the dictionary storage.

8. A dictionary search method for controlling a computer of an electronic device including a display and a touch panel, the dictionary search method comprising:

displaying a sentence including a plurality of words on the display;

detecting a plurality of touched positions correspondingly to a user operation on the touch panel in a state in which the sentence including the plurality of words is displayed on the display;

determining a movement state of the plurality of touched positions after the plurality of touched positions on the touch panel is detected;

searching dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words, for an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words in the sentence, which words are specified correspondingly to the plurality of touched positions, in accordance with the determined movement state of the plurality of touched positions;

determining in the determining processing whether the touched positions are crossed along with movements of the plurality of touched positions; and

searching for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of words in the sentence in opposite word order which words are specified correspondingly to the plurality of touched positions, in the searching processing in a case where it is determined that the plurality of touched positions is crossed.

9. The dictionary search method according to claim 8, further comprising:

searching for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly without a different character therebetween in the same order with order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is not detected that the plurality of touched positions is practically moved closer to each other.

10. The dictionary search method according to claim 8, further comprising:

detecting, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether one touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a first direction and the other touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

searching dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of each example sentence or each phrase including a word of each direction word in a manner associated to each direction word, for an example sentence or a phrase that includes one specified word in the plurality of specified words as a word of a direction word and that includes the other specified word in the plurality of words as a word that is not the direction word in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the one touched position is moved in the first direction and the other touched position is moved in the second direction.

11. The dictionary search method according to claim 8, further comprising:

detecting, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a first direction along with movements of the plurality of specified positions, and detecting whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

searching, in the searching processing, for an example sentence including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the first direction, and searching for a phrase including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the second direction.

12. The dictionary search method according to claim 8, further comprising:

searching for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly or separately in order different from order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the plurality of touched positions is crossed.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium recording a dictionary search program for controlling a computer of an electronic device including a display and a touch panel,

the dictionary program causing the computer to:

display a sentence including a plurality of words on the display;

detect a plurality of specified position correspondingly to a user operation on the touch panel in a state in which the sentence including the plurality of words is displayed on the display;

determine a movement state of the plurality of specified positions after the plurality of specified positions on the touch panel is detected;

search dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words, for an example sentence or a phrase including a plurality of words in the sentence, which words are specified correspondingly to the plurality of specified positions, in accordance with the determined movement state of the plurality of specified positions;

determine that the specified positions are crossed along with movements of the plurality of specified positions in the determining processing; and

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of words in the sentence in opposite word order which words are specified correspondingly to the plurality of specified positions, in the searching processing in a case where it is determined that the plurality of specified positions is crossed.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable recording medium according to claim 13,

wherein the dictionary program causes the computer to:

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly without a different character therebetween in the same order with order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is not detected that the plurality of touched positions is practically moved closer to each other.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable recording medium according to claim 13,

wherein the dictionary program causes the computer to:

detect, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether one touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a first direction and the other touched position in the plurality of touched positions is moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

search dictionary data in a dictionary storage, which stores dictionary data of each example sentence or each phrase including a word of each direction word in a manner associated to each direction word, for an example sentence or a phrase that includes one specified word in the plurality of specified words as a word of a direction word and that includes the other specified word in the plurality of words as a word that is not the direction word in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the one touched position is moved in the first direction and the other touched position is moved in the second direction.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable recording medium according to claim 13,

wherein the dictionary program causes the computer to:

detect, in the processing of detecting the relative positional change, whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a first direction along with movements of the plurality of specified positions, and detect whether both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in a second direction different from the first direction; and

search, in the searching processing, for an example sentence including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the first direction, and search for a phrase including the plurality of specified words in a case where it is detected that both of the plurality of touched positions are moved in the second direction.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable recording medium according to claim 13,

wherein the dictionary program causes the computer to:

search for an example sentence or a phrase, which includes the plurality of specified words adjoiningly or separately in order different from order in the sentence, in the searching processing in a case where it is detected that the plurality of touched positions is crossed.
