Abstract

A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and system for vehicle maintenance are provided. The computer-implemented method may include predicting a future vehicle location based on a vehicle location history; predicting future vehicle usage from user information, wherein the user information includes information collected from a user'"'"'s social media account; identifying maintenance needs of a vehicle; and determining available times for vehicle maintenance based on the future vehicle location and the user information.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for vehicle maintenance, the method comprising:

predicting a future vehicle location based on a vehicle location history;

predicting future vehicle usage from user information, wherein the user information includes information collected from a user'"'"'s social media account;

identifying maintenance needs of a vehicle; and

determining available times for vehicle maintenance based on the future vehicle location and the user information.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

locating a vehicle maintenance service provide based on the future vehicle location, the user information and the vehicle maintenance needs.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

sending a notification to a vehicle maintenance service provider based on the identified maintenance needs of a vehicle.

4. The method of claim 3, further comprising:

scheduling a time for vehicle maintenance with the vehicle maintenance service provider.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein determining the future vehicle location comprises:

analyzing the vehicle location history based on vehicle location history gathered using GPS data.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the maintenance needs of a vehicle are identified based on one or more of a maintenance schedule, vehicle based sensing system and a service history.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the user information includes a user'"'"'s calendar.

8. A computer program product for vehicle maintenance, the computer program product comprising:

one or more computer-readable storage media and program instructions stored on the one or more computer-readable storage media, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to predict a future vehicle location based on a vehicle location history;

program instructions to predict future vehicle usage from user information, wherein the user information includes information collected from a user'"'"'s social media account;

program instructions to identify maintenance needs of a vehicle; and

program instructions to determine available times for vehicle maintenance based on the future vehicle location and the user information.

9. The computer program product of claim 8, further comprising:

program instructions to locate a vehicle maintenance service provide based on the future vehicle location, the user information and the vehicle maintenance needs.

10. The computer program product of claim 8, further comprising:

program instructions to send a notification to a vehicle maintenance service provider based on the identified maintenance needs of a vehicle.

11. The computer program product of claim 10, further comprising:

program instructions to schedule a time for vehicle maintenance with the vehicle maintenance service provider.

12. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the program instructions to determine the future vehicle location comprises:

program instructions to analyze the vehicle location history based on vehicle location history gathered using GPS data.

13. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the maintenance needs of a vehicle are identified based on one or more of a maintenance schedule, vehicle based sensing system and a service history.

14. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the user information includes a user calendar.

15. A computer system for vehicle maintenance, the computer system comprising:

one or more computer processors;

one or more computer-readable storage media; and

program instructions stored on the computer-readable storage media for execution by at least one of the one or more computer processors, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to predict a future vehicle location based on a vehicle location history;

program instructions to predict future vehicle usage from user information, wherein the user information includes information collected from a user'"'"'s social media account;

program instructions to identify maintenance needs of a vehicle; and

program instructions to determine available times for vehicle maintenance based on the future vehicle location and the user information.

16. The computer system of claim 15, further comprising:

program instructions to locate a vehicle maintenance service provide based on the future vehicle location, the user information and the vehicle maintenance needs.

17. The computer system product of claim 15, further comprising:

program instructions to send a notification to a vehicle maintenance service provider based on the identified maintenance needs of a vehicle.

18. The computer system product of claim 17, further comprising:

program instructions to schedule a time for vehicle maintenance with the vehicle maintenance service provider.

19. The computer system product of claim 15, wherein the program instructions to determine the future vehicle location comprises:

program instructions to analyze the vehicle location history based on vehicle location history gathered using GPS data.

20. The computer system product of claim 15, wherein the maintenance needs of a vehicle are identified based on one or more of a maintenance schedule, vehicle based sensing system and a service history.
