Abstract

An information management device includes a difference extractor and a determination unit. The difference extractor extracts, as difference information, vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by a vehicle and three-dimensional map information. The determination unit determines whether the extracted difference information is a difference inherent to the vehicle.

Claims

1. An information management device comprising:

a difference extractor which extracts as difference information a difference between vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by a vehicle and three-dimensional map information;

a determination unit which determines whether the difference information is a difference inherent to the vehicle; and

a vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information generator which, when the determination unit determines that the difference information is the difference inherent to the vehicle, generates, based on the difference information extracted by the difference extractor, vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information to be used to correct the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by the vehicle,

wherein the difference inherent to the vehicle which is to be determined by the determination unit is a difference based on a mounting position of a detector with which the vehicle detects the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information.

5. The information management device according to claim 1 or 4, further comprising:

an information storage which stores the three-dimensional map information;

a collection unit which collects difference information which is of the difference information and is determined, by the determination unit, not to be the difference inherent to the vehicle; and

a three-dimensional map information update unit which updates the three-dimensional map information stored in the information storage, based on the difference information collected by the collection unit.

6. The information management device according to claim 5, further comprising a driving instruction information generator which generates, by using the three-dimensional map information, driving instruction information for the vehicle to perform self-driving.

7. The information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the three-dimensional map information is information corresponding to position information,

the information management device further comprises a current position obtaining unit which acquires current position information representing a current position of the vehicle, and

the difference extractor extracts the difference information by using the three-dimensional map information corresponding to the current position information at a time when the vehicle detects the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information.

4. The information management device according to claim 41,

further comprising a vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information corrector which corrects, based on the vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information, the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by the vehicle.

8. A vehicle comprising:

a vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information extractor which acquires vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information;

a difference extractor which extracts as difference information a difference between the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information and three-dimensional map information;

a determination unit which determines whether the difference information is a difference inherent to the vehicle; and

a vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information generator which, when the determination unit determines that the difference information is the difference inherent to the vehicle, generates, based on the difference information extracted by the difference extractor, vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information to be used to correct the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by the vehicle,

wherein the difference inherent to the vehicle which is to be determined by the determination unit is a difference based on a mounting position of a detector with which the vehicle detects the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information.

9. The vehicle according to claim 8, further comprising:

an information storage which stores the three-dimensional map information;

a collection unit which collects difference information which is of the difference information and is determined, by the determination unit, not to be the difference inherent to the vehicle;

a three-dimensional map information update unit which updates the three-dimensional map information stored in the information storage, based on the difference information collected by the collection unit;

a driving instruction information generator which generates, by using the three-dimensional map information, driving instruction information for the vehicle to perform self-driving; and

a drive controller which controls driving of the vehicle, based on the driving instruction information generated by the driving instruction information generator.

10. An information management method comprising:

a difference extraction step of extracting as difference information a difference between vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by a vehicle and three-dimensional map information;

a determining step of determining whether the difference information is a difference inherent to the vehicle; and

a vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information generating step of generating, when the difference information is determined to be the difference inherent to the vehicle in the determining step, vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information, based on the difference information extracted in the extracting step, the vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information being used to correct the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by the vehicle,

wherein the difference inherent to the vehicle which is to be determined in the determining step is a difference based on a mounting position of a detector with which the vehicle detects the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information.

The information management method according to claim 10, further comprising a vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information correcting step of correcting, based on the vehicle'"'"'s inherent correction information, the vehicle peripheral three-dimensional information detected by the vehicle.

14. The information management method according to claim 10, further comprising:

a collecting step of collecting the difference information which is determined, in the determining step, not to be the difference inherent to the vehicle; and

a three-dimensional map information updating step of updating the three-dimensional map information, based on the difference information collected in the collecting step.

15. The information management method according to claim 14, further comprising a driving instruction information generating step of generating, by using the three-dimensional map information, driving instruction information for the vehicle to perform self-driving.
