Abstract

Electronic records are formatted according to recipient addresses. When an electronic database record is received by a server or other device, the electronic database record has any formatting, herein termed a legacy format. The electronic database record is destined for delivery to device identified by a recipient address. The recipient address is associated with a software agent that reformats the legacy format into a different format. The electronic database record is thus reformatted according to software agent associated with the recipient address. A reformatted database record is thus sent to the recipient address, and the reformatted database record has the different format.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a server, an electronic healthcare record, the electronic healthcare record associated with a recipient address;

comparing, by the server, the recipient address to addresses associated with a reformatting service;

determining, by the server, that the recipient address is associated with the reformatting service;

reformatting, by the server, the electronic healthcare record from a format to a reformatted electronic healthcare record that is compatible with a different format in response to the determining that the recipient address is associated with the reformatting service; and

sending, from the server, the reformatted electronic healthcare record to the recipient address.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the reformatting of the electronic healthcare record reformats the electronic healthcare record from a legacy format.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising encrypting the reformatted electronic healthcare record.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising executing a rule associated with the reformatting service.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising executing a rule associated with the recipient address.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising executing a rule associated with the different format.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising categorizing the electronic healthcare record.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising associating the format to a software agent that reformats the electronic healthcare record.

9. A system, comprising:

a hardware processor; and

a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising;

receiving an electronic healthcare record, the electronic healthcare record associated with a recipient address;

comparing the recipient address to addresses associated with a reformatting service;

determining that the recipient address is associated with the reformatting service;

reformatting the electronic healthcare record from a format to a reformatted electronic healthcare record that is compatible with a different format associated with the recipient address; and

sending the reformatted electronic healthcare record to the recipient address.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise converting the electronic healthcare record from a legacy format.

11. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise encrypting the reformatted electronic healthcare record.

12. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise executing a rule associated with the reformatting service.

13. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise executing a rule associated with the recipient address.

14. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise executing a rule associated with the different format.

15. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise categorizing the electronic healthcare record.

16. The system of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise associating the format to a software agent that reformats the electronic healthcare record.

17. A memory device storing code that when executed causes a hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:

receiving an electronic healthcare record, the electronic healthcare record associated with a recipient address;

comparing the recipient address to addresses associated with a reformatting service;

determining that the recipient address is associated with the reformatting service;

reformatting the electronic healthcare record from a format to a reformatted electronic healthcare record that is compatible with a different format associated with the recipient address; and

sending the reformatted electronic healthcare record to the recipient address.

18. The memory device of claim 17, wherein the operations further comprise converting the electronic healthcare record from a legacy format.

19. The memory device of claim 17, wherein the operations further comprise encrypting the reformatted electronic healthcare record.

20. The memory device of claim 17, wherein the operations further comprise executing a rule associated with the reformatting service.
