Abstract

A system and method are provided for transmitting messages related to operations of electronic devices. A management apparatus is notified of an event that occurred in a specific one of a plurality of electronic devices. The management apparatus determines one or more target devices in response to notification of the event that occurred in the specific electronic device. An event message corresponding to the event that occurred in the specific electronic device is created. The management apparatus transmits the event message to the one or more target devices. The one or more target devices output the received event message.

Claims

1. A method for transmitting a message at a server, the method comprising;

receiving, by a processor of the server, an event notification from a first electronic device, wherein the event notification is generated according to operations of the first electronic device;

analyzing, by the processor, the received event notification;

determining, by the processor, a second electronic device from a plurality of second devices based on a situation of the plurality of second electronic devices; and

transmitting, by the processor, an event message corresponding to the event notification to the second electronic device.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein analyzing the event notification comprises at least one of:

identifying a type of the first electronic device;

identifying a type of event corresponding to the event notification;

identifying a user according to the identified type of event;

identifying a type of the second electronic device; and

identifying a state of the second electronic device.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein determining the second electronic device is based on at least one of an urgency of the event, a user of the second electronic device, a location of the second electronic device, the type of the second electronic device, or a state of the second electronic device.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein determining the second electronic device is based on an order of priority relating to an urgency of the event, the location of the second electronic device, a type of the second electronic device, and the state of the second electronic device.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein identifying the user of the second electronic device comprises:

extracting information on the user of the second electronic device from the event notification if the event has a first level of urgency; and

extracting information on all users who receive the event message reporting the event if the event has a second level of urgency.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the second electronic device comprises a piece of the second electronic device, which are used by target users.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein determining the second electronic device comprises:

detecting a location of each of the plurality of second electronic devices; and

when the second electronic device is located indoors, determining which of the plurality of second electronic devices is used by the target users.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein determining the second electronic device comprises:

when the second electronic device of the target users comprise a plurality of target users which are located both indoors and outdoors, determining which of the second electronic devices are located indoors; and

when the second electronic device is located outdoors, determining pieces of user equipment that are used by the target users.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the second electronic device is determined based on whether the second electronic device is located indoors or outdoors.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the event message comprises:

an identifier indicating that the event message reports the event that occurred in the first electronic device; and

state information reporting information regarding the first electronic device,

where the event has occurred, and reporting content of the event that occurred in the first electronic device.

11. A server comprising:

a communication module configured to support communication between a first electronic device and a second electronic device among a plurality of second devices; and

a processor configured to;

receive an event notification from the first electronic device, wherein the event notification is generated according to operations of the first electronic device;

analyze the received event notification;

determine the second electronic devices based on a situation of the plurality of second electronic devices; and

transmit an event message corresponding to the event notification to the second electronic device.

12. The server of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to at least one of:

identify a type of the first electronic device;

identify a type of event corresponding to the event notification;

identify a user according to the identified type of event;

identify a type of the second electronic device; and

identify a state of the second electronic device.

The server of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to determine the second electronic device based at least one of an urgency of the event, user of the second electronic device, a location of the second electronic device, the type of the second electronic device, and a state of the second electronic device.

The server of claim 13, wherein the processor is further configured to determine the second electronic device based on an order of priority relating to the urgency of the event, the location of the second electronic device, the type of the second electronic device, and a state of the second electronic device.

15. The server of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to:

extract information on the user of the second electronic device from the event notification if the event has a first level of urgency; and

extract information on all users who receive the event message reporting the event if the event has a second level of urgency.

16. The server of claim 15, wherein the processor is further configured to:

detect a location of the plurality of second electronic devices; and

when the second electronic device is located indoors, determining which of the plurality of second electronic devices is used by the target users.

17. The server of claim 16, wherein the processor is further configured to:

determine, when the plurality of second electronic devices of the target users comprise a plurality of target users that are located both indoors and outdoors, which of the second electronic devices are located indoors; and

when the second electronic device is located outdoors, determine pieces of user equipment that are used by the target users.

18. The server of claim 11, wherein the second electronic device is determined based on whether the second electronic devices is located indoors or outdoors.
