1. A wearable treatment device for treatment of a subject, comprising:

  • a plurality of cardiac sensing electrodes configured to be positioned outside a body of the subject and to detect cardiac information of the subject;

    at least one treatment electrode configured to be positioned outside the body of the subject and to apply treatment to the subject;

    a sensor configured to be positioned outside the body of the subject and to sense a transthoracic impedance of the subject; and

    a controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of cardiac sensing electrodes, the at least one treatment electrode, and the sensor, the controller configured toreceive and record the detected cardiac information and the sensed transthoracic impedance of the subject,determine whether treatment should be applied to the body of the subject based upon the detected cardiac information,initiate the treatment of the subject in response to a determination that the treatment should be applied to the body of the subject, andmonitor the sensed transthoracic impedance of the subject to detect changes in extravascular fluid in lungs of the subject over time that are indicative of changes in a heart failure condition of the subject.
