Abstract

A magneto-inductive flow measuring device (1) comprising a measuring tube (2) on which a magnet system and two or more measuring electrodes (3) are arranged and/or secured,

• wherein the measuring tube (2) has in- and outlet regions (11, 12) with a first cross section and
• wherein the measuring tube (2) has between the in- and outlet regions (11, 12) a middle segment (10), which has a second cross section,
• wherein the measuring electrodes (3) are arranged in the middle segment (10) of the measuring tube (2),
• wherein the middle segment (10) at least in the region of the measuring electrodes (3) is surrounded by a tube holder (15), which guards against cross-sectional deformation of the second cross section.

Claims

1. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device (1) comprising a measuring tube (2), on which a magnet system and two or more measuring electrodes (3) are arranged and/or secured, wherein the measuring tube (2) has in- and outlet regions (11, 12) with a first cross section and wherein the measuring tube has a middle segment (10) located between the in- and outlet regions (11, 12) and having a second cross section, wherein the measuring electrodes (3) are arranged in the middle segment (10) of the measuring tube (2), wherein the middle segment (10) at least in the region of the measuring electrodes (3) is surrounded by a tube holder (15), which guards against cross-sectional deformation of the second cross section.

2. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the magnet system, especially a magnet system comprising field coils (4), is arranged and/or secured at or on the tube holder (15).

3. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the middle segment (10) has at least two oppositely lying planar surfaces (13 and 14), which act as bearing surfaces for the magnet system.

4. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the tube holder (15) is composed of at least two plates (7), which are preferably planar and which are connected with one another.

5. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the plates (7) are of metal.

6. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the plates (7) extend beyond the planar surfaces (13, 14) at least in certain regions.

7. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the plates (7) are connected with one another by means of bolts (5).

8. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the tube holder (15) completely encloses the middle segment (10).

9. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the measuring tube (2) is a plastic measuring tube.

10. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the measuring tube (2) is composed of polyethylene, polyamide, polypropylene and/or polyvinyl chloride.

11. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that each of the plates (7) has a thickness, which corresponds at least to the wall thickness of the measuring tube (2).

12. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that only the planar plates (7) are arranged between the magnet system, especially between the field coils (4), and the measuring tube (2).

13. Magneto-inductive flow measuring device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the middle segment (10) has a minimum diameter d_min and a maximum cross section d_max and wherein d_min is at least 20% smaller, preferably at least 50% smaller, than d_max.

Method for manufacturing a measuring tube (2) for a magneto-inductive flow measuring device (1), wherein the measuring tube is a plastic tube, and wherein the measuring tube (2) has in- and outlet regions (11, 12) with a first cross section, and wherein the measuring tube has between the in- and outlet regions (11, 12) a middle segment (10), which has a second cross section, wherein measuring electrodes (3) are arranged in the middle segment (10) of the measuring tube (2), wherein the middle segment (10) is surrounded at least in the region of the measuring electrodes (3) by a tube holder (15), which guards against cross-sectional deformation of the second cross section, characterized in that the second cross section is established by deformation of the measuring tube.

15. Method for manufacturing a measuring tube (2) for a magneto-inductive flow measuring device (1) as claimed in claim 14, wherein the second cross section is established by pressing the measuring tube against a plug.
