Abstract

Disclosed is a data transmission method in a mobile communication system. The data transmission method through a code sequence in a mobile communication system includes grouping input data streams into a plurality of blocks consisting of at least one bit so as to map each block to a corresponding signature sequence, multiplying a signature sequence stream, to which the plurality of blocks are mapped, by a specific code sequence, and transmitting the signature sequence stream multiplied by the specific code sequence to a receiver.

31. A method for transmitting a preamble sequence from user equipment to a base station to at least improve detection performance, the method comprising:

receiving, from the base station, position information of an allocated random access channel resource, the position information including frequency information and timing information; and

transmitting, by the user equipment and on a random access channel, a preamble sequence to the base station to access a cellular network, wherein the preamble sequence is at least based on;

a specific sequence, having a length (L), which was generated from a Zadoff-Chu Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation (CAZAC) sequence,

the specific sequence having been circularly shifted,

the circular-shifted specific sequence having been repeated to generate a consecutive sequence having a length (N*L), wherein N is an integer greater than 1, and

the preamble sequence having been generated by concatenating a single cyclic prefix (CP) to a front-end of the consecutive sequence.

32. The method of claim 31, wherein the position information is expressed by one or more of subcarrier offset, number of sub-carriers, timing offset, and a number of symbols.

33. The method of claim 31, wherein the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a broadcast channel.

34. The method of claim 31, where in the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a downlink control channel.

35. A method for transmitting a preamble sequence from user equipment to a base station to at least improve detection performance, the method comprising:

receiving, from the base station, position information of an allocated random access channel resource, the position information including frequency information and timing information; and

transmitting, by the user equipment and on a random access channel, a preamble sequence to the base station to access a cellular network, wherein the preamble sequence has the form of a single cyclic prefix (CP) concatenated to a front-end of an N-time repetition, where N is an integer greater than 1, of the product of a Zadoff-Chu Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation (CAZAC) based sequence with an exponential sequence.

36. The method of claim 35, wherein the position information is expressed by one or more of subcarrier offset, number of sub-carriers, timing offset, and a number of symbols.

37. The method of claim 35, wherein the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a broadcast channel.

38. The method of claim 35, where in the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a downlink control channel.

39. A method for transmitting a preamble sequence from user equipment to a base station to at least improve detection performance, the method comprising:

receiving, from the base station, position information of an allocated random access channel resource, the position information including frequency information and timing information; and

transmitting, by the user equipment and on a random access channel, a preamble sequence to the base station to access a cellular network, wherein the preamble sequence comprises a cyclic prefix followed by a preamble concatenated with the preamble, the preamble at least based on a Zadoff-Chu Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation (CAZAC) sequence.

40. The method of claim 39, wherein the position information is expressed by one or more of subcarrier offset, number of sub-carriers, timing offset, and a number of symbols.

41. The method of claim 39, wherein the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a broadcast channel.

42. The method of claim 39, where in the receiving step comprises receiving the position information over a downlink control channel.

43. A system that transmits a preamble sequence to a base station to at least improve detection performance, the system comprising:

user equipment adapted to;

receive, from the base station, position information of an allocated random access channel resource, the position information including frequency information and timing information; and

transmit, by the user equipment and on a random access channel, a preamble sequence to the base station to access a cellular network, wherein the preamble sequence comprises a cyclic prefix followed by a preamble concatenated with the preamble, the preamble at least based on a Zadoff-Chu Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation (CAZAC) sequence.

44. The system of claim 43, wherein the position information is expressed by one or more of subcarrier offset, number of sub-carriers, timing offset, and a number of symbols.

45. The system of claim 43, wherein the receiving comprises receiving the position information over a broadcast channel.

46. The system of claim 43, where in the receiving comprises receiving the position information over a downlink control channel.
