1. A remote ambulatory cardiac monitoring system for acquiring ECG signals, the system comprising:
- an ambulatory housing configured to be worn by a patient;
a microprocessor for controlling the remote ambulatory cardiac monitoring system, and the microprocessor is disposed within the ambulatory housing;
an electrode for sensing ECG signals and the electrode being in communication with the microprocessor; and
an integrated cellular module connected to the microprocessor and disposed within the ambulatory housing, wherein the integrated cellular module transmits ECG signals to a remote center.

An integrated cellular module also is included in the system, and the cellular module is connected to the microprocessor and disposed within the housing. The integrated cellular module transmits ECG signals to a remote center.
