Abstract

In some embodiments, a crossbow comprises a stock and a bow portion comprising at least one limb and a string. A riser attaches said bow portion to the stock. A latch is located in proximity to a butt of the stock. The latch is configured to retain the string in a drawn condition. A trigger is arranged to release the latch. An extension member extends from the butt of the stock to the latch. The extension member and the stock define a cavity, and the latch assembly is oriented within the cavity.

Claims

1. A crossbow comprising:

a stock;

a bow portion comprising at least one limb and a string;

a riser attaching said bow portion to said stock;

a latch configured to retain said string in a drawn condition;

a trigger arranged to release said latch; and

an accessory comprising a first portion and a second portion, the first portion comprising a grip, the second portion comprising a stirrup.

2. The crossbow of claim 1, the accessory adjustable with respect to the stock between first and second positions.

3. The crossbow of claim 1, the accessory moveable along a length of the stock.

4. The crossbow of claim 1, the accessory rotatable about a pivot axis.

5. The crossbow of claim 1, the accessory comprising a hinge.

6. The crossbow of claim 5, the hinge located between the first portion and the second portion.

7. The crossbow of claim 1, the grip comprising a lower flange.

8. The crossbow of claim 1, comprising a mounting rail, the accessory attached to the mounting rail.

9. The crossbow of claim 1, the accessory moveable along a length of the mounting rail.

10. A crossbow comprising:

a stock;

a bow portion comprising at least one limb and a string;

a riser attaching said bow portion to said stock;

a latch configured to retain said string in a drawn condition;

a trigger arranged to release said latch; and

a grip, the grip moveable with respect to the stock.

11. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip moveable along a length of the stock.

12. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip rotatable about a pivot axis.

13. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip comprising a hinge.

14. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip comprising a lower flange.

15. The crossbow of claim 10, comprising a mounting rail, the grip attached to the mounting rail.

16. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip moveable along a length of the mounting rail.

17. The crossbow of claim 10, the grip attached to a stirrup.

18. The crossbow of claim 17, comprising a hinge located between the grip and the stirrup.
