Abstract

Provided are systems and methods for establishing a communication between mobile device users that register with a collaboration system. The collaboration system determines a match between profile data of the first registered mobile device and profile data of the second registered mobile device. Displayed at the first registered mobile device is a first list of user identifications, which includes an identification of a user of the second registered mobile device and an identification of a user of at least one other mobile device. Displayed at the second registered mobile device is a second list of user identifications. The second list includes an identification of a user of the first registered mobile device and an identification of at least one other mobile device user.

Claims

1. A method for establishing communications between mobile devices, comprising:

registering a plurality of mobile devices on a collaboration system, each device including profile data, wherein the profile data includes at least gender information;

establishing search criteria for a user of each of a first mobile device and a second mobile device of the plurality of mobile devices, wherein the search criteria includes at least gender information;

detecting a location of the first and second mobile device;

identifying a match between the first and second mobile devices based on the profile data and the search criteria of the first and second mobile devices;

storing the match and location information;

providing the user of the first or second mobile devices an option to subsequently access, download or view summary information relating to the match in an aggregated, historical or other form, wherein;

the summary information relating to the match includes profile data and relative distance or past or current location information of the first or second mobile devices.

The method of claim 1, wherein the profile data includes one or more of a picture, name, identification, age, gender, personal information, school, employer, hobby, biographical information, demographic information, interests, social media links, e-mail address or contact information, status, scanning preference, search criteria, current or historical location data, current or past user selection, usage statistic or other attribute.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the aggregated, historical or other form includes a map display.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the aggregated, historical or other form includes a list or other graphical display that summarizes the information relating to the match.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the relative distance or past or current location information of the first or second device includes time information.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the relative distance or past or current location information includes information relating to the frequency of the first and second user being within a predetermined distance.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the option to subsequently access, download or view information includes providing an option to send a wink, message, e-mail, poke or like, or to call or contact the matched user.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the option to subsequently access, download or view information includes providing an option to view additional profile data about a matched user.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the user of the first or second mobile device may block the other of the first or second mobile device, wherein blocking prevents the other user from accessing, downloading or viewing summary information relating to the match.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the identification of the match is controlled by a match sensitivity meter, wherein, a higher quality match is stored or displayed in the aggregated, historical or other form differently than a lower quality match score.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein, the relative distance or past or current location information of the summary information is provided scrambled or in a restricted manner to protect user privacy or safety.

The method of claim 1, wherein the summary information is arranged into and displayed as tiers, wherein initially a first tier of profile data may be accessed, downloaded or viewed and, in response to the first user granting the second user permission, a second tier of profile information of the first user may be accessed, downloaded or viewed, wherein the second tier of profile information includes at least one profile element that is different than the first tier.

13. A server device configured to establish a communication between mobile devices, comprising:

a processor that receives registration data from a plurality of mobile devices, each device including profile data, wherein the profile data includes at least gender information;

a processor that receives search criteria established for a user of each of a first mobile device or a second mobile device of the plurality of mobile devices, wherein the search criteria includes at least gender information;

a processor that receives location information of the first and second mobile devices;

a processor that identifies a match between the first and second mobile devices based on the profile data and the search criteria of the first and second mobile devices;

a processor that stores the match information at a storage device; and

a processor that, in response to receiving a subsequent request to access and download or view summary information relating to the match of the first or second mobile devices, provides information relating to the match of the first or second mobile devices in an aggregated, historical or other form, wherein the summary information relating to the match includes profile data and relative distance or past or current location information of the first or second mobile devices.
