- identifying initialization of a first video game racing session at a first point in time, the first video game racing session is to play on a racing track;
determining a first weather for the racing track that corresponds to the first point in time;
causing the first video game racing session to render the racing track such that the surface of the racing track corresponds to a response the racing track has to the first weather;
identifying initialization of a second video game racing session at a second point in time, the second video game racing session is to play on a racing track;
determining a second weather for the racing track that corresponds to the second point in time; and
