Abstract

A portable terminal is provided for operation in a first mode in which information is provided on a first curved surface area or a second mode in which information is provided on a second curved surface area, and controlling the display to provide, in response to an occurrence of an event while in the first mode, information related to the event on the first curved surface area, and provide, in response to the occurrence of the event while in the second mode, information related to the event on the second curved surface area.

Claims

1. An electronic apparatus, comprising:

a main body;

a single display which is mounted on the main body, the display comprising;

a main display area which is disposed on a front surface of the electronic apparatus,

a curved auxiliary display area which is extended from the main display area to be bent on at least one side of the main display area and is smaller than the main display area,

2. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, wherein the curved auxiliary display area comprises:

a first curved auxiliary display area which is extended from the main display area to be bent on a first side of the main display area and is smaller than the main display area, and

a second curved auxiliary display area which is extended from the main display area to be bent on a second side of the main display area and is smaller than the main display area

3. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, wherein the curved auxiliary display area is extended from the main display area and covers a part of the side surface of the electronic apparatus.

4. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, wherein the curved auxiliary display area is extended from the main display area and covers an end of the side surface of the electronic apparatus.

5. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, the electronic apparatus further comprising,

an illumination senor which is disposed on the front surface of the electronic apparatus,

6. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, the electronic apparatus further comprising,

a first camera module which is disposed on the front surface of the electronic apparatus,

7. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, the electronic apparatus further comprising,

a second camera module which is disposed on a rear surface of the electronic apparatus,

8. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, wherein the main display area is flat.

9. The electronic apparatus of claim 1, wherein the single display includes touch panel which receives a touch input on one of the main display area and the curved auxiliary display area.
