1. A method of operation of a self-righting aeronautical vehicle, the method comprising steps of:

  • obtaining the self-righting aeronautical vehicle, the self-righting aeronautical vehicle comprising;

    a hollowed frame, the hollowed frame having a circular circumferential exterior surface,at least one maneuvering and lift mechanism adapted to generate a lifting force, each of the at least one maneuvering and lift mechanism being assembled to a controller assembly, the controller assembly carried by a support element located within the interior of the hollowed frame, anda weighted mass assembled to one of (a) the hollowed frame and (b) the controller assembly in a manner enabling self-righting of the at least one maneuvering and lift mechanism during use;

    activating the self-righting aeronautical vehicle;

    using the at least one maneuvering and lift mechanism to generate a lifting force, lifting the self-righting aeronautical vehicle to an airborne position, where the self-righting aeronautical vehicle is flying above a generally horizontally oriented surface;

    reducing the lifting force generated by the using the at least one maneuvering and lift mechanism to generate a lifting force, causing the self-righting aeronautical vehicle to travel in a direction towards the generally horizontally oriented surface, where the self-righting aeronautical vehicle contacts the generally horizontally oriented surface;

    initiating an instability upon contact of the self-righting aeronautical vehicle against the generally horizontally oriented surface;

    utilizing a combination of the structure of the hollowed frame and the location of the weighted mass to cause the self-righting aeronautical vehicle to correct in an orientation, such that the self-righting aeronautical vehicle is in a generally upright orientation when the self-righting aeronautical vehicle comes to rest on the generally horizontally oriented surface.
