1. A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly, said vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly comprising:

  • a mirror reflector sub-assembly;

    said mirror reflector sub-assembly comprising a mirror reflective element having a front outermost side and an opposing rear side that is spaced from the front outermost side by a thickness dimension of said mirror reflective element;

    said mirror reflector sub-assembly comprising a mirror back plate having a front side and an opposing rear side that is spaced from the front side by a thickness dimension of said mirror back plate;

    wherein said mirror back plate comprises a light-transmitting aperture;

    wherein a heater pad is disposed between the front side of said mirror back plate and the opposing rear side of said mirror reflective element with a light-transmitting aperture of said heater pad juxtaposed with the light-transmitting aperture of said mirror back plate;

    wherein said heater pad comprises a front side and an opposing rear side that is spaced from the front side by a thickness dimension of said heater pad, and wherein the front side of said heater pad adhesively attaches to the opposing rear side of said mirror reflective element;

    said mirror reflector sub-assembly comprising a blind zone indication module;

    said blind zone indication module comprising a plastic housing;

    wherein the plastic housing comprises (i) a front end configured for attaching said blind zone indication module at the opposing rear side of said mirror reflective element and (ii) a rear end opposite the front end;

    said blind zone indication module comprising a circuit board having a first side and a second side opposing the first side that is spaced from the first side by a thickness dimension of the circuit board;

    wherein at least one light emitting diode is disposed at the first side of the circuit board;

    wherein the circuit board is disposed within the plastic housing between the rear end of the plastic housing and the front end of the plastic housing such that the first side of the circuit board faces the front end of the plastic housing and the second side of the circuit board faces away from the front end of the plastic housing;

    wherein the front end of the plastic housing of said blind zone indication module comprises a light-transmitting portion;

    wherein, when the at least one light emitting diode is electrically powered, light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode exits said blind zone indication module via the light-transmitting portion of the front end of the plastic housing of said blind zone indication module;

    wherein, with said blind zone indication module disposed at the opposing rear side of said mirror back plate and with the light-transmitting portion of the front end of the plastic housing of said blind zone indication module juxtaposed with the light-transmitting aperture of said mirror back plate, light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode passes through said mirror reflective element;

    wherein, when the at least one light emitting diode is electrically powered, light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode illuminates an icon of said mirror reflective element that is viewable by a driver of a vehicle equipped with said vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly;

    wherein said mirror reflective element comprises a glass substrate coated with a mirror reflector coating;

    wherein the icon comprises a light-transmitting window through said mirror reflector coating;

    wherein the light-transmitting window is established by ablation of said mirror reflector coating to form the icon;

    wherein the circuit board of said blind zone indication module comprises a circuitry;

    wherein the circuitry of the circuit board comprises the at least one light emitting diode;

    wherein the circuit board comprises electrically conductive terminals in electrical connection with the circuitry of the circuit board, and wherein the electrically conductive terminals are received in a connector portion of the plastic housing;

    wherein the connector portion, with the electrically conductive terminals received therein, is configured to connect to a connector of a wire harness of said vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly;

    wherein the circuitry of the circuit board comprises a constant current circuit; and

    wherein said blind zone indication module comprises a diffuser that diffuses light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode when the at least one light emitting diode is electrically powered.
