BY DIGESTING SAID PRECIPITATE WITH A SUBSTANTIALLY NICKEL-FREE AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING DISSOLVED COBALT AND HAVING A PH OF ABOUT 1.5 TO 2 TO REMOVE NICKEL CONTAINED IN SAID IMPURE COBALTIC HYDROXIDE AND TO PROVIDE A PURIFIED COBALTIC HYDROXIDE IN WHICH THE RATIO OF COBALT TO NICKEL IS AT LEAST ABOUT 200 TO 1.
