1. A thermal wire stripper comprising;

  • upper and lower insulated grip members hinged together adjacent the rear ends thereof;

    a pair of electrically conductive guide rods disposed in each grip member and extending forward of said grip member;

    an electrically conductive blade member disposed across the forward end faces of each rod pair, the blades being in opposing cutting relationship;

    an electrical power lead connection at the rear of said grip members connected to each rod pair to cause resistance heating of the blades;

    an adjustment means mounted at the rear of said members adjustably limiting the maximum open position spread of said grip members; and

    stop block means slidably mounted on the rods adjustably limiting the closest approach permitted for the blade members.
