1. A liquid crystal type dazzle-free rear view reflection mirror arrangement in a vehicle comprising:

  • a frame body attached to said vehicle and provided with an open front end for the passage of an incident light from the rear of said vehicle;

    a liquid crystal layer provided behind said open front end in said frame body for varying transmittivity of the incident light passing therethrough in dependence on an electric field applied thereto;

    a semi-transparent mirror layer provided behind said liquid crystal layer in said frame body for transmitting therethrough a portion of the incident light passing through said liquid crystal layer and reflecting a portion of the incident light for generating a rear view thereon;

    a photo sensor provided behind said semi-transparent mirror layer in said frame body for sensing the intensity of the incident light passing through said semi-transparent mirror layer; and

    means, responsive to said photo sensor, for applying and controlling the electric field applied to said liquid crystal layer, the magnitude of the electric field being increased with the increase in the intensity of the incident light sensed by said photo sensor.
