1. A mirror comprising:

  • a transparent plate of synthetic resin;

    a surface-hardening layer coated on all surfaces of the resin plate;

    a reflective metal layer deposited on the surface-hardening layer of one side of the resin plate, anda back-coat layer closely covering the surface of the reflective metal layer,wherein said metal layer is formed by a dry metal plating, said metal being selected from the group consisting of tin and an alloy of tin and copper (Sn;

    Cu=1;

    less than 0.4 by weight), the thickness of said reflective metal layer being in the range of 700-1600 Å and

    the moisture permeability of said surface-hardening layer being substantially smaller than those of said reflective metal layer and said back-coat layer.
