1. A solar control glass coating having a substantially neutral visible reflected color, comprising:

  • a first layer of dielectric material,a second layer, of partially reflective metallic material,a third layer, of dielectric material,a fourth layer, of partially reflective metallic material.a fifth layer, of dielectric material, andeach of said first, third and fifth dielectric layers consisting of a substantially transparent dielectric material having a refractive index within a range of from 1.7 to 2.7, said first and firth layers having substantially the same optical thickness that is substantially within a range of 33-45 percent of the optical thickness of said third layer, one of said second or fourth layers has a thickness substantially within the range of from 75 to less than 100 percent of the other of the second or fourth layer.
