1. An electroactive laminate comprising:
- A) a conductive substrate;
B) a first layer of an electroactive polymer, prepared from a first monomer having an oxidation potential, said first layer being adhered to the conductive substrate; and
C) a second layer of an electroactive polymer prepared substantially from a second monomer having an oxidation potential greater than the oxidation potential of the first monomer, having copolymerized therein a small amount of the first monomer, said second layer being adhered to the first layer.
