1. A method of cooking food without depleting the electron content of said food comprising the steps of,placing the food within a cooking medium containing a volumetric body, andapplying a low voltage DC electric current, of sufficient magnitude to create a reducing environment, to flow through said cooking medium to provide said reducing environment in which the food is cooked, said applying comprising supplying free electrons for absorption by said food during a thermal cooking process, such that the tendency for the cooked food to be carcinogenic is diminished.
