A method for use in a telephone system having a plurality of destinations to which a personal communication service (PCS) call may be routed, said telephone system attempting to complete a PCS call placed from a calling telephone to a subscriber'"'"'s personal telephone number by routing said call, until said call is answered or abandoned, to each destination indicated in a predetermined sequence of destinations, the method comprising the steps of:

  • comparing the originating station identification information of the calling telephone with destinations of said sequence; and

    skipping over any destination of said sequence that is the same as the originating station identification information of the calling telephone so that no attempt is made to complete said PCS call to the calling telephone.
