1. A recording method comprising the step of:

  • depositing a reactant-containing reaction solution and an ink composition onto a recording medium to conduct printing, the ink composition comprising a pigment a glycol ether, and water the pigment being dispersible and/or soluble in water without the aid of any dispersant, the glycol ether being one member or a mixture of two or more members selected from the group consisting of diethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, triethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, propylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, and dipropylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether, the reactant being a material which can break a state of dispersion and/or dissolution of the pigment.
