Electrosurgical instrument for the therapy of varices, comprisingtwo fork-shaped protruding needle electrodes (6, 7), which are connectable to different poles of an electrical current source and which each are partly coated by a thin electrical insulation layer, said insulation layer leaving a forward tip zone (6a, 7a) of the needle electrodes (6, 7) free, whereby the transition from the tip zone to an insulated zone is substantially stepless;
