  • a blood pressure measurement apparatus which measures a patient'"'"'s blood pressure using a noninvasive blood pressure cuff;

    control means for initiating a blood pressure measurement by said blood pressure measurement apparatus when said heart rate variability monitor indicates that the patient'"'"'s heart rate has varied a predetermined amount over a predetermined period of time, said predetermined amount of heart rate variability correlating to a predetermined percentage chance in the patient'"'"'s blood pressure.
