1. A transmission type liquid crystal display device comprising:

  • a plurality of lines including gate lines and source lines, wherein at least one of the plurality of lines is at least partially light-shading;

    switching elements each arranged near a crossing of each gate line and each source line, a gate electrode of each switching element being connected to the gate line, a source electrode of the switching element being connected to the source line, and a drain electrode of the switching element being connected to a pixel electrode for applying a voltage to a liquid crystal layer, wherein;

    an interlayer organic insulating film has high transparency and is above the switching element, the gate line and the source line; and

    the display device further comprises a connecting electrode connected to the drain electrode and to the pixel electrode via a contact hole through the interlayer organic insulating film between the connecting electrode and the pixel electrode, and wherein the connecting electrode is on the light-shading part of the at least one of the plurality of lines.
