1. A liquid crystal display cell comprising a first substrate having a common electrode integrated thereon, a second substrate having a pixel electrode integrated thereon, liquid crystal material disposed between said common electrode and said pixel electrode, the liquid crystal display cell characterized by:

  • first and second conductive layers integrated onto said first substrate and disposed between said first substrate and said common electrode;

    a first insulating layer disposed between said first and second conductive layers; and

    a second insulating film disposed between said second conductive layer and said common electrode, wherein one of the first and second conductive layers is capacitively coupled to the common electrode.
