1. A portable electronic device having a level-adjusted voltage, comprising:

  • a voltage level adjusting circuit for selectively receiving a first power supply voltage from a first power source, and for selectively receiving a second power supply voltage from a second power source, the first power supply voltage differing from the second power supply voltage, and for providing a level-adjusted voltage, the level-adjusted voltage being equal to a predetermined voltage when the first power supply voltage is selectively received by said voltage level adjusting circuit and the level-adjusted voltage being equal to the second power supply voltage when the second power supply voltage is selectively received by said voltage level adjusting circuit; and

a power supply circuit having a linear regulator for receiving the level-adjusted voltage and for providing a regulated voltage for the portable electronic device.
