A method for reducing and/or delaying aging of the skin, comprising topically applying to the skin, scalp and/or mucous membranes of an individual in need of such treatment, an effective amount of the cosmetic/phannaceutical composition which comprises an effective active principle amount of a clarified and stabilized culture medium used to culture at least one non-photosynthetic filamentous bacterium, formulated into a cosmetically/pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, diluent or carrier therefor.
