Abstract

A pivotable folding utility table includes a table top having a pair of support pedestals pivotally attached thereto. A first pivotal support brace including a distal end and a proximal end attached to the first support pedestal. A second pivotal support brace including a distal end and a proximal end attached to the second support pedestal. The distal ends of the first and second pivotal support braces pivotally attached to a retaining assembly preferably mounted in relation to the table top. Specifically, the retaining assembly includes a cross-brace member operably disposed through openings formed in the distal ends of the first and second pivotal support braces, thus providing a pivotal engagement in relation to the table top. Alternatively, a second retaining assembly including a cross-brace member may be mounted in relation to the table top, wherein the distal end of the first pivotal support brace pivotally engages the first retaining member and the distal end of the second pivotal support brace pivotally engages the second retaining member. In addition, the first and second support pedestals may comprise at least one support leg, wherein each support leg of the first and second support pedestals are laterally offset from each other so as to permit an offset displacement of the support legs when the support pedestals are disposed in a collapsed position.

Claims

1. A utility table comprising:

a table top constructed from blow-molded plastic, the table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a center support assembly generally centrally disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the center support assembly including a cross brace member;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the first support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the center support assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the center support assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the second support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the center support assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the center support assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

2. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is positioned generally adjacent to the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

3. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is generally aligned with the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

4. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping logs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

5. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the table top and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the table top.

6. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

7. The utility table as in claim 6, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in the collapsed position.

8. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising one or more mounting members connected to the table top, each of the mounting members including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the cross brace member of the center support assembly in the collapsed position.

9. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

10. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising one or more manifolds in the mounting surface of the table top.

11. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a plurality of depressions in the mounting surface of the table top, the depressions being sized and configured to increase the strength of the table top.

12. The utility as in claim 1, further comprising a frame attached to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame connecting at least the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal to the table top.

13. The utility table as in claim 12, further comprising a plurality of apertures in the frame, the apertures being sized and configured to pivotally connect the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal to table top.

14. The utility table as in claim 12, further comprising a pair of apertures in the frame, the apertures being sized and configured to receive a first end and a second end of the cross brace member.

15. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are disposed generally parallel and adjacent to the mounting surface of the table top in the collapsed position, and wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal extend generally outwardly from the table top in the extended position.

16. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a first outer edge of the table top and a generally parallel second outer edge of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position.

17. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about a perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

18. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

19. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

20. The utility table as in claim 1, wherein the table top is formed from a unitary, one-piece construction.

21. The utility table as in claim 1, further comprising a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top with a distance separating the working surface from the mounting surface, and further comprising a plurality of depressions extending across the distance and interconnecting the mounting surface and the working surface.

22. A utility table comprising:

a table top constructed from blow-molded plastic, the table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a center support assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the first support pedestal and the distal end being pivotally connected to the center support assembly; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the second support pedestal and the distal end being pivotally connected to the center support assembly.

23. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the center support assembly includes a cross brace member connected to the table top.

24. The utility table as in claim 23, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace and an aperture in the distal end of the second support brace, the cross brace member of the center support assembly being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace and the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the first pivotal support brace and the second pivotal support brace to the center support assembly.

25. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is positioned generally adjacent to the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

26. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

27. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the table top and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the table top.

28. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

29. The utility table as in claim 28, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in the collapsed position.

30. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising one or more mounting members connected to the table top, the mounting members including a recess that is sized and configured to receive a cross brace member of the center support assembly.

31. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

32. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising one or more manifolds in the mounting surface of the table top.

33. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a plurality of depressions in the mounting surface of the table top, the depressions being sized aid configured to increase the strength of the table top.

34. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are disposed generally parallel and adjacent to the mounting surface of the table top in the collapsed position, and wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal extend generally outwardly from the table top in the extended position.

35. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a first outer edge of the table top and a generally parallel second outer edge of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position.

36. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about a perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

37. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

38. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

39. The utility table as in claim 22, wherein the table top is formed from a unitary, one-piece construction.

40. The utility table as in claim 22, further comprising a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top with a distance separating the working surface from the mounting surface, and further comprising a plurality of depressions extending across the distance and interconnecting the mounting surface and the working surface.

41. A utility table comprising:

a table top constructed from blow-molded plastic, the table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the retaining assembly including a cross brace member;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the first support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the retaining assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the retaining assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the second support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the retaining assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the retaining assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

42. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is positioned generally adjacent to the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

43. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is generally aligned with the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

44. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

45. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the frame and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the frame.

46. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

47. The utility table as in claim 46, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal arc generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in collapsed position.

48. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising one or more mounting members connected to the table top, each of the mounting members including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the cross brace member of the retaining assembly.

49. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

50. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the retaining assembly is generally centrally located between the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal.

51. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are disposed generally parallel and adjacent to the mounting surface of the table top in the collapsed position, and wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal extend generally outwardly from the table top in the extended position.

52. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising a first outer edge of the table top and a generally parallel second outer edge of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position.

53. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about a perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

54. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

55. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

56. The utility table as in claim 41, wherein the table top is formed from a unitary, one-piece construction.

57. The utility table as in claim 41, further comprising a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top with a distance separating the working surface from the mounting surface and further comprising a plurality of depressions extending across the distance and interconnecting the mounting surface and the working surface.

58. A utility table comprising:

a table top constructed from blow-molded plastic, the table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the first support pedestal and the distal end being pivotally connected to the retaining assembly; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the second support pedestal and the distal end being pivotally connected to the retaining assembly.

59. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein a cross brace member connects the retaining assembly to the frame.

60. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein a cross brace member connects the retaining assembly to the table top.

61. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace and an aperture in the distal end of the second support brace, a cross brace member being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace and the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the first pivotal support brace and the second pivotal support brace to the retaining assembly.

62. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the distal end of the first pivotal support brace is positioned generally adjacent to the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

63. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

64. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the frame and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the frame.

65. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

66. The utility table as in claim 65, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in the collapsed position.

67. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising one or more mounting members connected to the table top, the mounting members including a recess that is sized and configured to receive a cross brace member of the retaining assembly.

68. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

69. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are disposed generally parallel and adjacent to the mounting surface of the table top in the collapsed position, and wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal extend generally outwardly from the table top in the extended position.

70. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising a first outer edge of the table top and a generally parallel second outer edge of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position.

71. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about a perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

72. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

73. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

74. The utility table as in claim 58, wherein the table top is formed from a unitary, one-piece construction.

75. The utility table as in claim 58, further comprising a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top with a distance separating the working surface from the mounting surface, and further comprising a plurality of depressions extending across the distance and interconnecting the mounting surface and the working surface.

76. A utility table comprising:

a table top constructed from blow-molded plastic, the table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position;

a first retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the retaining assembly including a cross brace member;

a second retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the retaining assembly including a cross brace member;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the first support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the first retaining assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the first retaining assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being pivotally connected to the second support pedestal, the distal end being pivotally connected to the second retaining assembly by disposing the cross brace member of the second retaining assembly within an aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace.

77. The utility table as in claim 76, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping logs that are adjustable in length.

78. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the frame and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the frame.

79. The utility table as in claim 76, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

80. The utility table as in claim 79, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in collapsed position.

81. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a first mounting member connected to the table top, the first mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the cross brace member of the first retaining assembly;

and further comprising a second mounting member connected to the table top, the second mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive a cross brace member of the second retaining assembly.

82. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

83. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising one or more manifolds in the mounting surface of the table top.

84. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a first pair of apertures disposed in the frame, the first pair of apertures being sized and configured to receive a first end and a second end of the cross brace member of the first retaining assembly, and further comprising a second pair of apertures disposed in the frame, the second pair of apertures being sized and configured to receive a first end and a second end of the cross brace member of the second retaining assembly.

85. The utility table as in claim 76, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are disposed generally parallel and adjacent to the mounting surface of the table top in the collapsed position, and wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal extend generally outwardly from the table top in the extended position.

86. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a first outer edge of the table top and a generally parallel second outer edge of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position.

87. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about a perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

88. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposal about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

89. The utility table as in claim 76, wherein the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.

90. The utility table as in claim 76, wherein the table top is formed from a unitary, one-piece construction.

91. The utility table as in claim 76, further comprising a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top with a distance separating the working surface from the mounting surface, and further comprising a plurality of depressions extending across the distance and interconnecting the mounting surface and the working surface.

92. A utility table comprising:

a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top including a first end, a second end, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a plurality of depressions formed in the mounting surface of the table top;

a frame connected to the mounting surface of the table top, the frame including a pair of generally parallel disposed side rails;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position, the first support pedestal being generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the frame, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position, the second support pedestal being generally positioned between and coplanar with the side rails of the frame in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table;

a first retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the first retaining assembly including a cross brace member that is connected to the side rails of the frame;

a second retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top, the second retaining assembly including a cross brace member that is connected to the side rails of the frame;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being connected to the first support pedestal and the distal end being connected to the first retaining assembly; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being connected to the second support pedestal and the distal end being connected to the second retaining assembly.

93. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace, the cross brace member of the first retaining assembly being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the first pivotal support brace to the first retaining assembly.

94. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace, the cross member of the second retaining assembly being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the second pivotal support brace to the second retaining assembly.

95. The utility table as in claim 92, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

96. The utility table as in claim 92, wherein the first support pedestal includes a support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the frame;

and wherein the second support pedestal includes a support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the frame.

97. The utility table as in claim 92, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

The utility table as in claim 97, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in the collapsed position.

99. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising a first mounting member connected to the table top, the first mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the cross brace member of the first retaining assembly;

and further comprising a second mounting member connected to the table top, the second mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the cross brace member of the second retaining assembly.

100. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

101. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position.

102. The utility table as in claim 92, further comprising an elongated portion and a foot portion of the first and second support pedestals, the width of the foot portion of the first and second support pedestals being less than a width of the table top.

103. The utility table as in claim 93, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position.

104. A utility table comprising:

a generally hollow, blow-molded plastic table top including a first end, a second end, a first outer edge, a second outer edge, a working surface and a mounting surface;

a plurality of depressions formed in the mounting surface of the table top;

a first support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the first support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position, the first support pedestal being generally parallel to the mounting surface and between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position;

a second support pedestal pivotally connected to the table top, the second support pedestal being selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position, the second support pedestal being generally parallel to the mounting surface and between the first outer edge and the second outer edge of the table top in the collapsed position;

a first retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top;

a second retaining assembly disposed between the first end of the table top and the second end of the table top;

a first cross brace member that connects the first retaining assembly to the table top;

a second cross brace member that connects the second retaining assembly to the table top;

a first pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being connected to the first support pedestal and the distal end being connected to the first retaining assembly; and

a second pivotal support brace including a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being connected to the second support pedestal and the distal end being connected to the second retaining assembly.

105. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace, the first cross brace member being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the first pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the first pivotal support brace to the first retaining assembly.

106. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising an aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace, the second cross member being disposed within the aperture in the distal end of the second pivotal support brace to pivotally attach the second pivotal support brace to the second retaining assembly.

107. The utility table as in claim 104, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length and the second support pedestal includes one or more telescoping legs that are adjustable in length.

108. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising a first support bar that pivotally connects the first support pedestal to the table top and a second support bar that pivotally connects the second support pedestal to the table top.

109. The utility table as in claim 104, wherein the first support pedestal includes one or more legs and the second support pedestal includes one or more legs, the one or more legs of the first support pedestal being laterally offset from the one or more legs of the second support pedestal.

110. The utility table as in claim 109, wherein an end of the one or more legs of the first support pedestal and an end of the one or more legs of the second support pedestal are generally positioned parallel and adjacent to each other when the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal are in the collapsed position.

111. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising a first mounting member connected to the table top, the first mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the first a cross brace member;

and further comprising a second mounting member connected to the table top, the second mounting member including a recess that is sized and configured to receive the second cross brace member.

112. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising one or more securing members connected to the table top, the securing members being sized and configured to receive a portion of the support pedestal in the collapsed position.

113. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal being generally positioned within a boundary defined by the mounting surface and the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position.

114. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising an elongated portion and a foot portion of the first and second support pedestals, the width of the foot portion of the first and second support pedestals being less than a width of the table top.

115. The utility table as in claim 104, further comprising a downwardly extending outer lip disposed about the perimeter of the table top, the first support pedestal and the second support pedestal not extending beyond a plane formed by a lower portion of the downwardly extending lip in the collapsed position to facilitate stacking of the table.
