1. A method of controlling an image display, said method comprising:

  • receiving at least one digital video signal corresponding to a captured wide-angle video image, said wide-angle video image having a field of view and being distorted relative to human perception;

    selecting two or more views within the wide-angle field of view;

    processing the digital video signal to create two or more perspective-corrected video images each corresponding to one of the selected views; and

    displaying the perspective-corrected video images simultaneously on the same display monitor.
