1. A method for regulating an internal temperature of a subscriber terminal in a wireless communication system, the subscriber terminal selectively lowering power consumption of specified components when the components are not required, the method comprising:

  • measuring the internal temperature of the subscriber terminal;

    comparing the measured internal temperature to a threshold; and

    selectively raising the power consumption of the specified components based on in part the comparison;

    whereby the raised power consumption of the specified components raises the internal temperature of the subscriber terminal.
