1. A method for treating acute promyelocytic leukemia, comprising determining a dosage amount of arsenic trioxide for the treatment of a patient diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia, based on the weight of the patient and a dose of 0.15 mg/kg of patient body weight, and administering arsenic trioxide in said dosage amount to said patient, wherein said arsenic trioxide is administered for a maximum of 60 days or until bone marrow remission, wherein said administering constitutes a first administration.
