1. An electric apparatus comprising:

  • a first battery having a variable temperature and a given capacity which supplies electric power to an electrically driven device, said first battery being a rechargeable battery having a temperature sensor which provides an indication of the temperature of said first battery;

    a second battery, different from said first battery, which supplies electric power to said electrically driven device;

    a controller which couples said first and second batteries and which switches the supply of electric power to said electrically driven device by stopping the supply of electric power by said first battery and starting the supply of electric power by said second battery in response to a temperature indication by the temperature sensor which exceeds a predetermined temperature, andwherein said controller monitors the capacity of said first battery and performs the switching in response to a further condition of detecting a capacity which is below a predetermined capacity.
